We're just wrapping up our bi-annual company offsite retreat today in Phoenix, and the energy around our mission and customers couldn't be higher!

Fun fact: there are 2X more Metal Heads in this picture than the last one from earlier this year 😎 🤘 ♥️

We are also introducing our newest brand color: Code Metal Patina. For us, it’s a reminder of the value in what’s already been built, and the care required to carry it forward. We also are launching three new colors :

Big News - Code Metal has been named to the 2026 @TechCrunch Disrupt / @GreenfieldVC #Disruptors60! 🎉

Our mission is to make AI trustworthy for systems that can't fail. Whether it's modernizing legacy software, optimizing code for new hardware, or moving prototypes into production, speed means nothing without trust.

Code Metal combines AI and formal methods to automate complex software engineering work, with independent verification that proves the code works as intended. Because when every line of code matters, "probably right" isn't good enough.

Proud to be in great company here alongside teams advancing AI where it matters the most. 🚀 Check out the full list here 👉️ https://t.co/T3mlhXeWlF

PS - thank you to @Nasdaq for helping us celebrate 🤩

What gets lost when AI is used in code translation?

AI translated code can compile successfully but still behave differently from the original. But in safety-critical environments, this behavioral gap is unacceptable - and can have serious consequences.

Our latest research blog post explores how defining good type mappings can close that gap, and how Code Metal approaches the problem from a formal methods perspective.

Excited to announce the grant recipients! And great work to all

[Code Metal @Code_Metal_AI]

Applications for the Code Metal Verified Code Translation Research Awards are now closed, and the research community did not disappoint!

We received 5X as many submissions as we were anticipating, with applicants across 5 continents, 22 countries, and 74 institutions. The caliber of submissions and topics we received blew us away, across verified code translation, formal semantics, trustworthy optimization and hardware targeting, and so much more.

Thank you to everyone who submitted, we cannot wait to dig into the incredible work these teams put forward. A proud day to be a part of this community! ♥️

Winners will be announced in December - stay tuned!

Everyone is focused on making AI models faster. But the model isn’t always the bottleneck.

We found just 3 pieces of supporting code consuming ~20% of GPU time in an autonomous-driving LiDAR pipeline running on @nvidia Thor.

@Code_Metal_AI Metal optimized them in less than a day.

AI is making it easier than ever to write code. The NEXT frontier and harder problem is making sure that code actually performs on the hardware it runs on.

That’s the Code-to-Metal gap. And it’s everywhere

[Grisha L @SEAINFL]

See the #CodeMetal platform in action. Self-driving cars use LiDAR to spot objects in real time. On NVIDIA's latest hardware, we found that a few pieces of custom GPU code were taking up about a fifth of the processing time.
