@RealJimChanos It seems to me there are 2 types of companies.
1) operating companies
2) asset plays
The first, operating companies, take materials (or labor, if they are law firms/consulting firms) and configure the materials into some value-add.
The second are valued on their assets.
@_adrian@RealJimChanos sure, if they are operating companies. But if they are REITs or something, you pretty much are buying the underlying real estate, and maybe a bit of a premium for good management. But it's an asset play. Which I think Saylor's company is as well, even though he denies it.
