This speech from Marco Rubio is stunningly deep for a politician, for anyone really. A must read. I tend to stay out of politics on X, but this is political philosophy at its finest.

Princeton Physicist Dr. William Happer: “Climate change is a HOAX.”
“We are in a CO2 famine right now...More CO2 is GOOD for the world…it’s ABSURD to be trying to reduce CO2!”
Plants thrive, Earth greens, yet elites demonize the gas of life to control you.
@shoebil57672266 This movement has become a religion, it is founded on a belief system. It’s like trying to convince a person that is very religious that god doesn’t exist, they can’t swallow that argument. Science and Economics are not a consideration, probably because they don’t understand it.
@JackBrennak5x6@jeff_kennett No it has nothing to do with one individual, it is essential that everyone is treated with respect. The skit on ABC was below basic human decency and should be retracted and an apology forthwith.
Angry diatribe from me after staying back to write this up.
I’m pissed because this shit-show has been buried so effectively for so long.
And more pissed that even when the conflicts and contradictions erupt into public, they might still get away with it because no one cares.
Thanks Morgan Stanley!🙏 I like the sound of your headline "#Japan's #Nuclear Power Renaissance Begins"🎶🦻😊 as the nation moves to accelerate reactor restarts and develop & deploy a fleet of new state-of-the-art reactors to achieve #EnergySecurity 🇯🇵⚛️⚡️🏗️👷🤠🐂 #Uranium 🏄

• Proposed licensed activities:
Re-enrich depleted UF6 tails to natural levels
Enrich natural UF6 up to 8% U-235
• Technology: laser-based isotope separation
• NRC staff preliminary recommendation: issue the license unless safety issues mandate otherwise
• Public comment deadline: May 11, 2026 | Docket ID NRC-2025-1007

@ShackelWill@Peter_Fitz@DeanChill This guy knows nothing, keep up the good work Will, and PF’s endorsement counts for nothing as well. It’s a tough task educating those that don’t wish to be educated.
@offtrack350@ShackelWill@Peter_Fitz I don't support Mick Jorss, but you should know that the Polysilicon base in solar panels is derived from coal so we can'r cut all coal mining.
@offtrack350@ShackelWill@Peter_Fitz You should also understand solar panels are comprised components manufactured with materials derived from supply sources using diesel and coal. The carbon payback period for a solar panel is a couple of years.
@offtrack350@ShackelWill@Peter_Fitz Yep it’s awful but because of low capacity factors and a lot of inefficiencies wind and solar can’t replace coal and gas on it’s own it needs a lot of help
@offtrack350@ShackelWill@Peter_Fitz Put carbon emissions to the side for a minute and look at the dirty pollutants that fossil fuels emit, they are toxic and we need to work on it's total removal from our energy system but it will take decades.
@offtrack350@ShackelWill@Peter_Fitz I am just a concerned citizen interested in the facts and concerned for my childrens future. I ask you to look beyond the politics and the noise and look at the facts. I would love to see coal and gas removed from our power generation, but this renewables plan cannot do it.
@offtrack350@ShackelWill@Peter_Fitz Good luck to you, this is a numbers issue and the numbers for renewables don’t stackup, in 10 years we will look back on this experiment and say what went wrong why didn’t it work. Good luck and good bye
@offtrack350@ShackelWill@Peter_Fitz In March 2023 on Q&A Chris Bowen said he needs 60million solar panels, by2050 our electricity demand is predicted to double (EIA) therefore we will need 120mill.
Economic life of a panel is 20yrs, therefore we will the install, remove and dispose 120,000/week,this is the low side
