@DaveHcontrarian@RodgerKeit53411@intheox6030@Jonatha03818950@steve_hanke Also, they're in a fuel crisis, a water crisis, proxy armies are destroyed (Hamas) or under siege. US completely controls the straight, our bases/Navy are fully functional, casualties statistically negligible. Most of the war has been negotiations/stalling, not fighting, btw
@DaveHcontrarian@RodgerKeit53411@intheox6030@Jonatha03818950@steve_hanke Iran is broke, currency worthless. They're fighting the US and Arab states to the south, Kurds to the north, their own citizens within. They've been effectively de-militarized, leadership constantly assassinated, and have zero allies. Really hard to see how they survive.
@MaxA638620@DaveHcontrarian@k_valancius@GlobalEqTiming@crescatkevin Mean? He's come out of retirement to try to warn whoever will listen about what's headed our way. Even I run out of patience with some of the comments, the serial posters, etc. He's not obligated to anyone here. Some of us appreciate his style, btw.
@Down2Feather@DaveHcontrarian@relativistics@trustgut1@simonebartley@natbrunell Utterly meaningless. He's not saying anything every leader of every country in the world hasn't said about us. Do you complain when the Europeans brag about manipulating us? He's talking to his voters, that's all. But people hear what they want to hear, I guess.
@DaveHcontrarian Of course. I get so dismayed by the 20T figure, I momentarily forgot about the rest of the story. I'd ask if you think revaluation is possible post-bust, but I can guess your answer. I will watch & learn, as painful as it will be.
@DaveHcontrarian When we’re in the deflationary bust you forecast, why do you think massive spending is more likely than gold/BTC revaluation to solve the debt crisis (once the markets stop buying treasuries, that is)?
@DaveHcontrarian@theoptionsgoat China suffering the longest deflationary period on record. Xi blames it on "malicious competition". Growing fear that it may export to trading partners. Your forecast becomes reality a little more every day.
@DaveHcontrarian@rockycampfield@AntiFiatLife I saw people predicting hyperinflation because of PMs this morning and the question struck me. Thank you for clarifying. That was my "eureka" moment for the day.
@DaveHcontrarian@AntiFiatLife You know, we've been taught to regard PMs as a hedge against inflation, but here they are going up at the threat of deflation. I get the motivation behind indexes, bonds, rates, etc (I think), but don't understand the psychology behind PMs...
@RRufusr @IndyforMAGA @DaveHcontrarian @theskymasterd @Samir_bliss Also, it's not a scam if he doesn't profit from it. He's doing this at no cost to anyone. It's the rest of us who are profiting and we are very appreciative.
@RRufusr @IndyforMAGA @DaveHcontrarian @theskymasterd @Samir_bliss You're doing yourself a disservice by dismissing him outright. You're skeptical because the timing got stretched, but if you accept that he's doing something no one else is - making accurate long-term forecasts - you can position yourself and do very well.
@DaveHcontrarian@Steve____D@McG997015818@grevas_nick Hi David, If Musk, Seba, and others are correct, and 10-40 trillion dollars are added to economy over the next decade, plus deflationary properties of new tech, would that be enough to derail global debt crisis in 2030s? Are futurists wildly optimistic? Does economy trump tech?
@DaveHcontrarian@BudIceCream @NettExpo @over_unity_@GabrielSSJE Do you think it's likely that the US imports enough to make tariffs work as a replacement to income tax? Or are there just too many variables involved to make a reasonable guess? (I think I just answered my own question...!)
@DaveHcontrarian@LaShawnKin70097@BudIceCream So it's possible that the stimulus packages in China aren't failed as so many pundits are saying, but just need time to work through the system?
@DaveHcontrarian@butterfinger_OG@LaShawnKin70097@BudIceCream But watching what's happening in China after a series of failed stimuli, wouldn't it be wiser to save QE for when the economy hits bottom? Isn't there some sense in Powell's remarks?
