Is this what AWU is referring to as “duct tape” fixes? This is not a safe contingency plan for the residents of the Findlay Creek area, who have frequent momentary and lengthy outages.
The customers deserve answers on where their money is going. #safetyisnotspaghetti#day42
We saw this in the Hydro Ottawa/IBEW 636 strike with the delay of the start of the strike, with the hesitance to return to the bargaining table, and most recently with the “2 week pause on negotiations” set forth by Mr Bryce Conrad. They will not break us. We are stronger.
“Union-Busting Tactic #5
Delays
Union-busting consultants will tell employers to delay, delay, delay. Their highly paid lawyers will pervert the law to delay union elections and/or contract negotiations in an attempt to create a feeling of futility within the workforce.”

@GogaSin08272713@hydroottawa This was a similar situation in the last Hydro Ottawa strike. A sandwich restaurant tried to open during the 2004 strike and ultimately paid the price. New construction home owners are feeling this same pinch. Please contact your local councillor and MPP to voice this concern.
Happy #LabourDay!
69 days ago @hydroottawa CEO said worker safety concerns were just them "throwing spaghetti at the wall".
Since the strike, he's admitted the safety issues were "valid".
Hydro workers deserve safety AND a fair deal @_MarkSutcliffe.

.@hydroottawa CEO Bryce Conrad says "I would never agree or concur that the workplace [is] toxic."
When the CEO refuses to acknowledge worker concerns, he causes more damage, trivializes their mental health, and reveals that things won't change.
That's not leadership. 🧵⬇️
@thole_doug @IBEWLocal636@hydroottawa How about we talk about Hydro Ottawa having their feelings hurt by wording in an email, and them pulling their offer off of the table? It wasn’t the union who chose to not vote after mediation, it was the company.
Hydro Ottawa strike is paused, for the HR manager/shot caller for the company to go on vacation. The skeleton crew running the field work would love to be on vacation, and the 395 employees on strike for TEN WEEKS would love to return to work.
@thinkenergypod@hydroottawa Here’s a hint, it takes a TEAM of highly skilled employees. The same employees willing to risk their lives, miss holidays and family time, and brave the harsh weather.
@Rosebugsme@IBEWLocal636@ArielTroster@hydroottawa@ottawacity If this tweet is in reference to the emails distributed by Hydro Ottawa, I encourage you to show up one afternoon to a picket line. Hear the stories from field and office staff. Basing your opinion off of one side of the story has proven bias, ask why Hydro has required an NDA.
