Meet the PICO team at GDC 2026. This Thursday, Ke Jing, Hogan Mastanduno, and David Campos Rodríguez take the stage to share how PICO OS 6 and Project Swan are shaping the future of spatial computing.
PICO OS 6 is live. We’re handing you the keys to our most open ecosystem yet—built on 10 years of XR mastery.

Looking back at the past few years, I’m incredibly proud of what the PICO Core OS & Developer Platform team has accomplished.
• Built a brand-new XR OS powered by our Spatial Engine and unified rendering architecture with Cloud Crystal design and native 2D/3D multi-app support.
• Built a complete developer platform supporting Android (Kotlin), Unity, Unreal, and WebSpatial.
• Built the full toolchain from 3D Editor to IDE plugins to a high-fidelity emulator.
OS. Engine. SDK. Tools.
Proud of the team, and it’s not too late to join us.

The Khronos Group is aiming to standardize Gaussian splatting by proposing a release candidate for an integration into the widely adopted glTF 3D format:

🚨 Privacy-first scene understanding is here.
With SecureMR, XR devs can now access real-time spatial data — on-device, with zero raw image exposure.

No cloud. No leaks. Just full control over what your app sees.

🧠 Why this matters:
Most platforms force you to choose: powerful AI or user privacy.
If you’re building for healthcare, robotics, or shared spaces — SecureMR should be your first choice.

🚀 https://t.co/XCx625oATE is one of the projects I've had impact on building. It lets developers migrate existing websites to XR and extend with Spatial APIs to go beyond the limitations of standard browsers.

Build Apple Vision Pro apps with web code.
✅ Open-source
✅ Cross-platform
✅ Runs on AVP, soon on PICO + Android XR
No Swift. No game engines. Just web code.

Epic Games has its problems but the way they treat and support developers cannot be matched. I understand steam is sometimes easier but if you want to support indie devs to the fullest consider buying from Epic so they don’t lose 30%.
