@savoy_girl@PYeerk Trying to codify basic familial interactions is incredibly corrosive. Stop projecting your neurosis onto everyone else with your creepy totalitarian control. Fuck off and die.
“Thank you conducting this antisemitism training Mr Snake. I’m sure you’ll do a great job teaching them about antisemitism.”
“No problem. I’ll get these kids antisemitic in no time.”
“What?”
A former BioWare employee uploaded this Mass Effect Universe (Mass Effect 5) trailer on Reddit! According to another employee, this trailer was ready a few months ago. #MassEffect
The idea that blatantly unproductive and unprofitable companies should just truck on forever because they made a game you liked when you were 17 is the real gamer entitlement.
Companies die all the time. Game devs aren’t special.
To help against misinformation:
This is the result of the Saudi Arabian buyout deal. The most ridiculous deal ever made where EA could barely cover the cost of the debt it accrued.
A lot of people will attach their personal feelings to the "why" but this is the real reason ^
@ChrisExpTheNews There should be some kind of classification for basic bitch esotericism.
Like guys who think reading five pages of Julius Evola makes them special.
When it comes to writing it feels like less of a prioritization issue (though it could be that too) and more like trying to play it safe, both for the audience and themselves. Veilguard is just the most egregious example but the smoothing off of rough edges was apparent even with Inquisition.
There is a three hour vid on YouTube by one of the directors of Anthem that goes into great detail about all the problems that project ran into and none of them have to do with corporate greed. It’s poor management, scope creep, lack of a clear vision, geographically distant offices making coordination almost impossible, etc. and that was almost 10 years ago.
EA was bought by a private equity firm a couple of years ago.
I need every single chud gamer to hear this: this is what is ACTUALLY ruining gaming—not “DEI” or “wokeness.”
Private equity wrings out industries for profit—sacrificing quality in the process. Now we won’t get ME4.
One of the interesting things to glean from the vid and other sources talking about recent BioWare was how much devs would fall back on “BioWare magic”. Which was a nice way of saying they had no idea vision for the project and just hoped it would come together. Seems nothing changed.
