@nationalrailenq How does catching a train to Finsbury Park and switching to the Underground, get me from Cambridge to Kings Lynn any more smoothly? But thanks for saying the scenic tour would be free of charge.
@karen_bek@GNRailUK Interstingly enough, if the ticket office at Kings Lynn warns people they'll be delayed at Downham Market, then the travel is at the passenger's risk. If they don't bother to warn them, the delay is bound to trigger the maximum delay repay compenasation.
@fmcbadger@mk2james@RailDeliveryGrp@greateranglia A passing loop at Soham is completely irrelevant, any increase in capacity will require doubling the line all the way to Ely. And Network Rail says the ground conditions aren't suitable (without spending a fortune).
@Doug_Paulley@RailDeliveryGrp@greateranglia I looked at the NationalRail website earlier, and under the section for "Staffing" it said "Ask the staff", but I suspect there's no staff in the absence of a ticket office and only a train every two hours.
@RailDeliveryGrp@greateranglia I went to Soham Station today, and while I wasn't expecting any trains, it wasn't open either. The access road was still comprehensively barriered-off.
@raileasy Can't find an email address for you, so have to resort to public twitter. In what parallel universe is this trip I just booked with you, 1hr 33mins?
Glad to see I'm in demand at COP26:
"As climate envoys aired their views on the latest draft, the EU's Frans Timmermans said "without these concrete steps our targets will be meaningless".
@jodrell @GreaterCambs That drive-thru is clearly operating way above its design capacity. Solutions might be to double the serving throughput, or seek someone to open a second outlet somewhere in the vicinity.
