@coachnatebdraft@SheedinATL He’s purely been a P&R dominant ball handler. I’ve tried projecting players to do what I think they should do, it never turns out well
He’s going to need to drive some sort of offensive value with the ball in his hands. The ancillary stuff just isn’t good enough right now.
@TStapletonNBA I had him ranked 9th in 24’
Now, in no particular order:
Castle, Clingan, Sarr, Edey, Sheppard, Buzelis, Ajay Mitchell, Ware, Topic, Sheierman
My 2 biggest hindsight’s: I had Castle out of the top 20 which was a huge miss and I wanted to put Ajay top 10 but chickened out.
Hot take, but I think Scheierman is returning top 10 value.
Nobody else in this class has been able to provide the mix of floor spacing, quick decision making, and defensive effort in high leverage minutes.
2024 DRAFT BIG BOARD
This class was definitely the hardest to rank in the past 4-6 years for me. I was kind of all over the place and still don’t feel great about 13-30.
Please reply with any questions or comments. RT’s would be appreciated.
Thanks.
@firstroundmock@druidofparanor You said Drake Maye wouldn’t get a second contract from the team who drafted him. You had him as a first round talent because that was consensus, but you were obviously much lower on him than most. 😂
2025 NBA Draft Big Board
There were quite a few high ceiling - low floor guys in this class, which made it tough. (Fears, Ace, Queen, Kasparas). My rankings would / will change depending on which teams these guys go to.
Happy Draft Day! I’ve produced and designed my annual NBA Draft Big Board for the 2025 class, which includes my personal ranking of the top 30 prospects along with a few guys I like in the second round!

@bballstrategy@GregFinberg The goal isn’t to be good, it’s to put developing players in a situation they can actually develop. Giving Bilal and Sarr a bunch of on ball reps with no spacing isn’t the answer.
@bballstrategy@GregFinberg Lead ball handler & center. Go trade for Gobert or take on some contracts with picks attached
All of them because they already invested. Role within system has a huge weight on how a player performs, with right systems in place they’ll be able to tell who to focus on for 2026.
@bballstrategy@GregFinberg Main task needs to be making a trade for some sort of “stabilizing” player - this could be a defensive anchor or a number of positive players. Work in young guys with said players and just develop over time. Playing 3-4 players below the age of 22 together at once is a no-go.
@bballstrategy@GregFinberg Wizards haven’t made great picks, that being said, it’s going to be hard for any of their young guys to perform well in any advanced metric when the team just flat out sucks. Add in one superstar and a def. scheme and the recent draft picks would all fair better on any statistic
Pacers thrive in transition and attacking mismatches.
Thunder are the best transition defense in the league and have no defenders to mismatch hunt.
Good luck.
Daigneault has to adjust. The Dort-Hartenstein combo played a big role in slowing down Jokic, but their limited offensive gravity clogged the lane and stalled the Thunder’s half-court offense in the 4th and OT
A simple replacement of Dort with Joe or Wiggins opens up the court.
