Seeing everyone’s feeds filled with photos of Charlie today is incredible, and honestly, as it should be. The impact he had on so many lives deserves every single tribute.
For me, the photo I hold closest to my heart isn’t one of the two of us. It’s a shot of Charlie with my thirteen-year-old son.
Whenever I look at it, I think about the impression he left on a young boy finding his way in life. Charlie didn’t just talk about character and kindness; he lived it, and he made sure the next generation felt its weight. In a world that only seems to get crazier, louder, and crueler by the day, a man of his decency, humor, and integrity is missed more than words can really capture.
Sending all my love, strength, and prayers to his family today, and keeping Charlie close in my thoughts and heart. We feel your absence down here, Charlie, but the lessons you left behind aren't going anywhere.

We took my newborn child into the pediatrician for her 12 month checkup in 2021.

We were getting her the next set of vaccines but we wanted to slow down the schedule and we definitely didn’t want the Covid vaccine. My wife being a nurse and I being a former paramedic, asked them to bring the vials in the room so we can watch them draw up the vaccines.

They threw an absolute fit. You would have thought I had called them every racial epithet imaginable.

They finally obliged us after a huge fight and we got the physician involved and a superviser.

1 year later we find out nurses had been vaccinating children for Covid without advising the parents they were doing it.
