@Kannanreborn@omarali50 The middle east writ large is a peripheral theatre for the US. It has no real interests at stake.
In an ideal world it withdraws and allow a balance of power to develop
In the real world it spouts the 47 year neverending war on terror drivel and is bogged down with irrelevance
@Kannanreborn@omarali50 In almost every game the US loses that war amd its allies are unprepared.
The US can't afford to divert scarce resources to peripheral theatres.
@Kannanreborn@omarali50 Chinese strategy will be to overwhelm AD.
If Iran can force the Americans to redeploy AD from other theatres.
How do you think the Chinese will do?
@Kannanreborn@omarali50 Of course its a pivot away from Asia not some 4 dimensional chess move.
They are literally redeploying assets away from the theatre back to the quick sands of the Middle East where they are once again bogged down in another war of choice.
I wouldn’t rule out a decapitation strategy by Israelis to unlock the Strait of Hormuz. There is a reason to panic, those prices are bad news and bad for Americans, but just be aware that for every problem they create, there is a price they will pay. Trump can’t just halt everything in the middle of an operation, they have no other choice but to win it and bring back the trust. Again, I might be wrong.
