@TheRAC_UK, 40 miles from home. 5 to 8 hours estimated patrol arrival time. Site I'm on closes in 5 hours. Told that I'll have to try again tomorrow if the patrol doesn't arrive on time. How can such awful service be reasonable?

@greateranglia excellent timing for the replacment bus from Thurston to Elmswell. Left 2 minutes before the train arrived. Maybe the driver likes to keep to schedule, unlike the train?

@greateranglia No I'm at home after arranging someone to collect me. The station isn't staffed so no way of asking for the bus to come back. That was the last replacment bus service for the night. It doesn't bode well for the rest of the week.
