London!🚨⏰👀 Just 4 days remain to say a huge YES to @MayorofLondon's plans to pedestrianise Oxford Street. Imagine this with NO vehicles, strolling people & cafe culture! BUT with thousands of cyclists needing new routes in an area bereft of cycleways, we have BIG concerns...
So despite all the fuss and noise, new data shows that the ULEZ expansion hasn’t hurt high street spending - it’s just helped clean up London’s air 💚

📅 It's been a decade of change on the streets of London and Paris, so how do the two cities compare on public transport, driving costs & more?

We welcome news of a significant step in changing the language used to describe road collisions.
Police forces across the UK can now replace ‘Police Accident’ signs with ‘Police Collision’ signs, following approval from the Department for Transport.
#CrashNotAccident
Remind all members of @UKLabour govt, admins & councils,
of this disgraceful stat🙏🏽
We need:
• 🇬🇧wide INTEGRATED ACTIVE+PUBLIC Transport strategy
• No traffic-inducing new roads
• Education to transition from solo🚘use

One problem all councils in London face is abandoned bikes clogging up racks. Is there enough value in these bikes beyond scrap that a company might want to partner with LAs to remove them for free? Obviously pending a removal notice. Suggestions welcome. @createstreets
"When I get on a bike I'm 20 years younger."
He's done it. Cycling UK member Peter Langford, aged 90, has become the oldest person to cycle the length of Britain, riding over 1,000 miles from Land's End to John o'Groats. What a remarkable achievement.
Huge congratulations! 👏💙
Please support the campaign for Presumed Liability. Presumed liability shifts the burden of proof to the insurance company in a collision, and is intended to compensate vulnerable road users more quickly and effectively https://t.co/aB1PqJ2wRa
@CampaignCycling
Absolutely unbelievable numbers for traffic counts in Hoxton (I literally don’t believe the Crondall St figure😱). Pitfield St and Whitmore Rd are Cycleway 1. Reminder that 2000-2500 cars/day is about the limit for all-ages cycling in mixed traffic. Just horrendous
@Heidi_Labour@DailyMailUK Will ppl be able to cycle free of
threat of #RoadViolence ?
🇬🇧’s not yet hit 🇺🇸 depths of
insanity—where each day
a 🚘user will drive into
a 7-11 store

Wise to chase the nation

Just an elderly person on a three-wheeler using one of the oldest low-traffic neighbourhoods in London. Debunking the myth cycling is a young person's pursuit. Freedom. #DeBeauvoir.
What are you afraid of?
Sharks🦈, lions🦁,bears🐻? Terrifying.
Car traffic kills way more people than animals ever could. Even when excluding indirect harm. Watch out for the real predators🚗!
Congestion?
It's not cycle lanes,
It's not 20mph zones
It's not LTNs
It's the not timing of traffic lights
It's this :
Registered vehicles on UK roads:
1991: 20 million
2023: 41.2 million
