Recently, Aliyev unveiled the "Victory Hotel" in Shushi- a hotel he had no involvement in constructing, merely renaming the existing Armenian hotel.

Aliyev referred to the Armenians as the 'hated enemy', calling their dwellings the "devils lair" in an interview about this.
