Thank you for introducing this bill, @CMLewisGeorgeW4! We submitted comments on the initial regulations to try to fix this loophole, and we are glad that it can still be fixed legislatively.
2️⃣ A second bill will let DC workers between jobs receive paid family leave benefits they already earned. Caregiving workers are ineligible for unemployment benefits but need support while caring for a new child or ill family member. This was the original intent of @DCPaidLeave.
