@DRSKenya@RCKKenya@VNGi strong step toward inclusive, refugee-led solutions—wishing the National Shirika Plan Technical Committee success in validating a framework that delivers meaningful inclusion and lasting impact for refugees and host communities alike.
Advancing inclusive refugee management in Kenya!
DRS, in collaboration with @RCKKenya and @VNGi today convened the National Shirika Plan Technical Committee to review the #ShirikaPlan Implementation Framework progress ahead of its validation.
Healing begins with compassionate conversations. During session 5 RRHI in Ruiru, RELONKenya supported participants in safely processing traumatic memories through trauma informed #MHPSS, strengthening resilience, hope, and community healing. #MentalHealth#RELONKenya#GIZCPS
International Rescue Committee Kenya has officially kicked off World Refugee Day 2026 celebrations under our theme for this year: Integration that works-dignity, access, and opportunity.
We kicked off the day with a breakfast engagement that brought together refugee clients, partners, and IRC staff, creating space for shared reflections on integration. Insights on the Shirika Plan were also shared as part of the discussions.
Through remarks and personal reflections shared across all groups, the space was anchored in a powerful recognition of the resilience, agency, and contributions of refugees, and the shared responsibility to support pathways for them to thrive.
At the heart of our celebration was the client product showcase, where refugee entrepreneurs took center stage to present and pitch their businesses. This showcase created a platform for visibility, connection, and economic opportunity inviting the public to engage with and support refugee-led enterprises.
We also came together for a Solidarity Pledge Wall activity, where participants committed to specific actions they will take to stand in solidarity with refugees pledges we will revisit next year as a moment of accountability and reflection.
Our event set a strong foundation for what integration can look like in action: expanding access, restoring dignity, and unlocking opportunity.

Thanks @GermanyDiplo@BMZ_Bund@BMI_Bund@natalie_pawlik for good discussions in Berlin.
We share concerns about possible, deep cuts in humanitarian funding impacting people in need and stability of key regions.
UNHCR remains a strategic partner for Germany on refugee policies.
In a time of instability and shrinking humanitarian aid, resettlement needs are expected to reach 2.5 million in 2026.
Behind this number are people who face threats in the places where they have fled for safety.
For them, resettlement is a lifeline.

We have today donated handbags, bottles, thermos mugs, and other soft sports equipment to @Halgancbo, RLO in Dadaab.
The RLO advocates for the causes of SGBV that affect communities, Particularly women/young girls living in Dadaab camps.
