Yesterday, @JDVance1 claimed that Trump could defy rulings of the Supreme Court as President. Vance also admitted he would have done what VP Pence refused to do on January 6th—help Trump illegally seize power. That’s tyranny. Neither Trump nor Vance is fit to serve.
The bipartisan national security agreement would be a win for America because it makes important fixes to our broken immigration system.
It'd be the toughest border proposal ever – and the fairest.
I’m calling on Congress to pass it and get it to my desk immediately.
@RepTiffany@jfradioshow@JayWeber3@megellefsonshow@WilkowMajority The bill is not amnesty. It provides the tools to end letting amnesty seeking people roam the country until their hearing 4 years later. It increases the criteria for amnesty. It adds more more to border patrol budgets. Come on man. Stop playing politics and lying.
NEW: @FoxNews has obtained an internal CBP memo that Acting CBP Commissioner Troy Miller sent out to CBP leadership today re: the Senate border deal, which he calls “the strongest set of tools we have had in decades.”
Miller has worked in CBP for 30+ years.
Memo below:
“CBP Leaders,
As you have likely heard by now, yesterday the Senate released a bipartisan national security agreement. To better respond to the volume of encounters we have seen in recent years, we need more resources and stronger enforcement tools than currently available to manage migration at the border.
This proposed legislation would provide the strongest set of tools we have had in decades to effectively manage migration and enhance our nation’s border security. The primary enforcement changes in this agreement include the Border Emergency Authority that would deem individuals who cross the border at times of high encounters ineligible for asylum and order them summarily removed, changes to strengthen the Credible Fear interviews so that only individuals who are more likely to be eligible for asylum are favorably screened to continue in the process, and a new accelerated provisional removal process that will eventually enable asylum claims to be adjudicated in a matter of months not years.
Critically, this agreement would provide much-needed resources to our frontline personnel, with over $6.8B in supplemental funding for CBP alone. This includes funding for over 1,500 new Agents, Officers, and mission support personnel as well as funding for the recently increased GS-12 Border Patrol Agent overtime pay. The bill also includes important new funding for Non-Intrusive Inspection systems, Automated Surveillance Towers, and other key items to improve our ability to perform our missions. In addition, the proposal significantly increases resources for USCIS and ICE to expand their capacity to screen, transport, detain, and remove individuals who cross the border unlawfully at sufficient scale to match recent encounter levels.
Together, these tools and resources would enable us to maximize consequences against those who unlawfully enter the country, maintain order and security at the border, and appropriately prioritize our essential national security and public safety missions.
These proposed changes won’t fix everything in our immigration system. But they are tough and fair. And, if enacted into law, they would make meaningful and substantial improvements to our nation’s border and national security.
As leaders across our agency, I wanted to share these highlights with you now as this legislation moves forward in Congress.
Thank you for everything you do each day.”

@RepFitzgerald When people go to work they get pissed if management doesn't give them the tools to do the work. When republicans prevent Mayorkas from having the tools to do his job, its maddening and not right. And then to hold him accountable when the root cause is Congress, wow!
🚨🚨 This #PrinciplesFirst voter in New Hampshire gets it exactly right: “If you don’t stand up to Trump, how are you going to stand up to the President of Russia and China?”
Clarity. Listen.
An NH voter SLAMS GOP Presidential candidate Tim Scott:
“If you don’t stand up to Trump, how are you going to stand up to the president of Russia and China”?

Who talks like this? Trump sounds like an ignorant ten year old. Simply incredible language for an adult. He was a disaster as President. Now he’s completely out of control. This fellow is a threat to the rule of law. An embarrassment to America.
Republicans are just making up stories out of thin air about Biden's "war" on domestic oil production.
U.S. oil production will reach 12.8 million barrels this year, higher than any year during the Trump Administration.

Trump is the lone defendant in a 4 count indictment case. He will have over 6 months from the date if indictment to prepare for trial. Theatrics aside, there are no substantive reasons his team can't be ready.
@repvos@CatoInstitute Quoting a libertarian organization to support your position is disingenuous. Get real data b4 presenting inaccurate info Vos. Your lack of integrity is astounding. https://t.co/a7HRx3KF8K
@RepOgles Pull your head out of your backside. They are accussed of breaking the law. A jury will decide whether they are guilty not the media, polls, or politicians.
