@ethancorded I hate typing on phone. Laptop with a keyboard for the win. Though, I'd prefer to have some thin, foldable keyboard than I can you with phone on the go.
@arlogilbert Maybe. Though, that argument has floated with Google with ads (Facebook) or AI (OpenAI), Amazon with AWS (Azure), or Photoshop (Canva)... I'm no founder but my understanding is that at some politics and limited focus blocks company's expansion.
How I used to think about Raspberry Pi knowing about microcontrollers, or seeing people optimize Python code when I had good C experience. Now, I prefer Python over C and have a few raspberry Pi.
Yes, deep knowledge helps. But the point is that lack of knowledge isn't a blocker.
Oh come on. Quick look at colorshift (13x faster): HashMap in hot loop (unoptimized Rust vibeslop) is slower than indexed arrays (ASM). No shit. Numbers like 17x should raise eyebrows but reading the comments nobody is thinking anymore. This AI psychosis has fried people's brains
@mattstauffer Sorry, that isn't what I meant. It's more that we are all bombarded with resumes - real and fake - and shifting through them is pain. It isn't even clear to me what is "human written" resume. And, I don't mind usage of AI since they'll use it; I mind replacement with AI.
Twitter, and most social media, just feel like a one way interaction. People you learned about from "somewhere" share stuff but no one interacts with each other "because of bots". It's closer to bulletin board than "social media".
@sqs I tried multiple times understand what Amp is about but every time I visit https://t.co/zEjW3XUSOw... it's incomprehensible. Font (font-sagittaire-display) looks nice but I can't read it. Sizes are all over the place so I have to zoom in and out. Colors clash. I can't read it :(
@mitsuhiko Hi, human here.
1) Why Slop and not just low effort / drunken / different-culture-huehue msg from a person? There's definitely a lot of bots but most replies on your tweets I see from "weird ppl".
2) If not comments, how else to ask / engage?
@dhh I know these are personal to you so they feel heavy but as someone who doesn't care about politics, seeing u engaging with them just proves the point that there might be some political. I installed Omarchy because it looked awesome; I had no idea that you were "controversial"
@GergelyOrosz The way we're working with Product folks (PMs, etc) has changed to the exact mock being the centre of discussion, rather than multi-pagers or PRDs.
@arlogilbert@sama This isn't Astra - this is their ChatGPT harness. I have had issues with their scheduler for a long long time and gave up trying. They must have some tools bloat internally.
