Opinion: Academy athletes should not be allowed to defer their service commitments to play pro sports, the author of this op-ed argues. https://t.co/G1xsL1C0DP
The United States being founded by those seeking refuge from religious persecution and a state religion and the United States founders basing the framework of the country on Christian values are not mutually exclusive.
Your religion should influence society and how you vote. It makes up your identity. The separation of church and state means there is no one state sponsored religion where the head of the church is the head of the country. Not that you can’t bring your religion to the ballot box.

First episode recorded in the books for @BoldAmericanPod. Just what everyone wants, right? Another F***ING podcast. But I promise you, this once will be different. And give it some time.
Legit happy to join the ranks of @BarstoolSports as a co-host for a brand-new show @BoldAmericanPod. Allow me to introduce myself, I’m an American, German born/raised, proud West Point grad, former Artillery officer, found myself around the world for the US Army and my love for techno, started raving at 15 in Germany and Holland, kinda miss my time in uniform tbh, mainly the bullshitting and hang with the army guys/gals, super pro military anything but of course biased for the Army (Beat Navy), love dogs, live in Vegas, have a love/hate with the VA, started drinking at 13 years old and quite proud of that, but now chilling out with the booze for a bit, totaled a car once, had an official passport, my native language is German and still trying to get my citizenship back, worked in advertising, Copenhagen is the best city in the world, try to work out every day, Toyota 4 runners are tight, have an amazing family and badass friends, think that if you’re not helping as many people as possible with a platform and large following – you’re not doing right by others. And most importantly…I love America. I’m just a chill guy, just like that meme. I want to be able to tell awesome stories, give updates for the military and veteran community and do more cool s*** to elevate the good military folks. Shoutout to the team: @CaptainCons@Rmanion and @JohnathonSands, and of course, @StoolPresidente for this opportunity. Prayers over to my friend @KatTimpf, her husband Cam and their wonderful new addition to their fam. Appreciate you all reading and see you in the comments. Oh, and it’s my beautiful Mother’s 60th birthday today. Hab dich ganz doll lieb, Mom!

Army obliterates 3x SEC Champion Tulane, 35-14. This is Army’s first season in a conference in decades, and they have not lost a conference game yet. They have earned a spot in the Playoff.
1. Army's only loss is Notre Dame. It won a conference title. It is 11-1. It will not play in the CFP.
2. Notre Dame's only loss is to Northern Illinois. It's 11-1. It didn't want a conference title. It will play in the CFP.
Bernie Sanders names corruption in the food and beverage industries as the primary culprit of our obesity and diabetes epidemics.
“How did it happen that, according to the CDC, the rate of childhood obesity in America has tripled since the 1970s and has gotten so bad that 1 out of every 5 children in our country is now obese?”
“How has it happened that over 40% of adults in the United States today are obese?”
“In my view, the answers to these questions are not very complicated. For decades, Congress and the FDA have allowed large corporations to make huge profits by enticing children and adults to consume ultra-processed food and beverages loaded up with sugar, salt, and saturated fat.”
“There is growing evidence … that these foods are deliberately designed to be addictive, similar to cigarettes and alcohol, and lead to a higher rate of type 2 diabetes.”
“Shockingly, according to a study published in the British Medical Journal, ultra-processed foods make up an incredible 73% of our nation’s food supply.”
“Bottom line: much of the food that we as Americans are now consuming are making us unhealthy and are contributing to the fact that our life expectancy is significantly lower than that of many other wealthy countries.”
“None of this is happening by accident. The food and beverage industry is spending $14 billion a year on advertising to push these unhealthy products into the American consumer.”
“Even worse … $2 billion of this money is spent to directly advertise these unhealthy products to our children in order to get them hooked on these foods at an early age.”
