Again: I thought you guys on the right only disliked illegal immigration. But really you're just a bunch of liars. You've thrown aside your principles in the vain belief that throwing these people out of our country will somehow fix the problems in your own lives.
The Trump Admin is revoking Temporary Protected Status for 300,000+ Venezuelans working and living in the U.S. legally.
Paving the way for them to be swept up in his mass deportations.
He’s not just going after violent criminals without authorization—he’s going after everyone.
A measles outbreak is spreading in the U.S. (today it’s Texas… tomorrow it’s beyond those borders…)
Measles is not some benign infection. It eliminates prior developed protective immunity towards other infections
It causes immune suppression
Lands huge fractions in hospitals
You couldn't make it up.
'A source told CNN they believe these individuals were fired because “no one has taken anytime to understand what we do and the importance of our work to the nation’s national security.”'

@LJS527 This place is overrun by swarms of bots. Sometimes they're actual automatons. Sometimes they're humans who are on some sort of demented mission to insert the most mindless, least constructive, and nasty remark they can conjure at every opportunity.
@tonylovasco@NCBlake@billybinion Of course context matters. But your original point was that because Jr.'s statement was framed as an opinion ("good evidence"), it's exempt. But it's an opinion based on claims of fact, not merely a standalone subjective take.
@tonylovasco@NCBlake@billybinion If he said "the '84 Royals are the best pro baseball team ever," you don't expect the journalist to mention that they finished just above .500 and lost the ALCS to the Tigers?
@tonylovasco@NCBlake@billybinion The role of journalist isn't static in every situation. There's no reason they shouldn't provide context when people offer opinions, particularly when those opinions /are based on false statements/. He's not saying his favorite color is blue, for God sakes.
@tonylovasco@NCBlake@billybinion He's stating an opinion based on... his lies and misrepresentations about things that /are/ facts. When he says "there are no good studies," then it makes sense to connect that "opinion" to his many well-documented factually false statements on the subject to show he's wrong.
@spooked75 Are you talking about the clip from Rupar? I try to avoid him because he has a history of selective editing (and possibly worse) in service of making his points.
"With a few pointed exceptions, Tesla has enjoyed ingratiating coverage in the Chinese press, and journalists told AP they have been instructed to avoid negative coverage of the automaker."
"Tesla has pioneered an aggressive legal strategy and leveraged the patronage of powerful leaders in China’s ruling Communist Party to silence critics, reap financial rewards and limit its accountability."
1/In the US, Elon Musk says he champions free speech. In China, his car company, Tesla, is silencing criticism - with the backing of the state.
Tesla China sued car owners, outlets and bloggers pointing out safety issues - and has won almost every case.

@christianjbdev It provides a lot of the excitement he sells his supporters. I suspect he doesn't believe any of the ones he pushes, or any of the ones pushed by his allies, but he certainly uses them to his advantage.
@tonylovasco@billybinion Journalists get outside opinions on this kind of thing from subject matter experts all the time. No dispassionate expert agrees with Jr., and there would be nothing wrong with pointing that out. (Whether or not it's persuasive to his partisans is another question, of course.)
@tonylovasco@billybinion Whether a journalist should "fact check" is contextual, of course. But if a non-physicist said "we have no good tests of general relativity," framing it as an opinion wouldn't make it less valid to point out that it's b.s.
