As someone who has spent quite some time working and earning in the digital space, I’ve come to realize something important

Most people don’t want you to come at them with all the complexity and jargons of blockchains or stablecoins, They simply want to know how best they can move and hold value

A little backstory in 2024 my co founder, @deen_sheriff99 was a P2P merchant on Bitget and he would constantly tell me how stressful and risky it was facilitating USDT/USDC conversions to Naira the scams, the poor rates, and the time wasted just to access money that was already theirs. At the same time, I was also dealing with the same pain on the other side arguing with vendors over ridiculous terms and rates

Then in January 2025, while traveling across East Africa, it hit me how truly borderless stablecoins could be if only the experience wasn’t so broken

Fast forward to October 2025. We were sitting at Radisson and discussing over a few bottles when the question dropped:

“What would life be like if I could just talk to the money I have in my wallet and tell it where to go?”

That single question became the seed for
@usesendra

We didn’t set out to build another crypto app, Instead, we focused on discovering where people already live, interact, and move money every day, and bringing stablecoins into those existing channels

Just like how OPay and other neobanks emerged during the cashless policy era and made banking simple by telling Nigerians “If you have a valid phone number, you can get an instant account and move money easily,” we believe the same shift is now happening with global finance

We’re saying that anyone with a valid phone number in Nigeria already has access to global finance and stablecoins, they just don’t know it yet

Our mission is to make this access real. We want to educate people on the future of finance in Africa and build channels that allow them to GET PAID GLOBALLY and SPEND LOCALLY

whether it’s the Jean vendor in Lagos receiving payment from a client in Ghana, or the freelancer getting paid in USDT/USDC and cashing out to their bank without stress
