The Senate Finance Committee gutted House Bill 69 — the education bill — leaving only a $1,000 increase to the BSA with no policy. It’s heading to the Senate Floor for debate tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Democrat House Finance reconsidered the Operating Budget after passing it out once before. They tried to adopt a new version that included a 75/25 PFD split and a $1,000 BSA increase — funded in part by raiding the Public Education Fund. But in a dramatic reversal, they withdrew that motion and passed the original budget instead: full PFD, $2 billion deficit.

These are wild times. You cant makw this stuff up! Where has the common sense gone? 🤷‍♀️
