My company is looking for a Business Developer Docs-as-Code.

Want to understand how docs-as-code can be used in an Automotive SW project, and which process areas can benefit? Give this great analysis from Dr. Krunic a try and figure out how much time your team can save and how much quality increase you may have. https://t.co/3XS9OkDDEq
#SphinxNeeds just got a major update to 2.0.0.🥳
A #sphinxdoc build is much faster now.
For feature and bugfixes, please take a look at the changelog: https://t.co/CysGhbUM6k
Most of the changes were done by @chrisj_sewell. Many thanks for that!
@GergelyOrosz It's mostly missing internal processes and complex legal/tax situation which is stopping companies in Europe to support FOSS. Spending the first € is often tough and needs internal changes and multiple approvals. But after a process got established it normally works.
@testdrivenio Ohh yes, learned about some weeks ago and was able to get 20% more speed out of some of my Sphinx extensions. Mainly as it avoids to reinitiate some docutils classes again and again. __init__() is really taking much too long in the docutils world.
The data and a memory measurement of the latest commit can be found here: https://t.co/WEAB25mpM4
I'm afraid I need to get and register my own machine for gh action execution. At least the hardware is stable.
There is a performance benchmark for #SphinxNeeds, which tracks how much time is needed for our doc-build.
But the needed time is jumping like hell, as the GitHub build machines seem to be not really comparable.
Any ideas on how to get comparable execution times on GitHub?
@willmcgugan Thinking about to use it for a Vscode extension to show a UI in its terminal.
Ever tested how it behaves there, especially how responsive it can be to support also small terminal windows?
App would be simple buttons and some forms.
Sitting in India? Maybe Bengaluru? And you are searching for a dev job at Automotive? With #opensource and #docsascode context? With daily work on #sphinxdoc and #sphinxneeds?

@mitsuhiko No hint like "Autogenerated by AI, may not be accurate in all scenarios" for the ouput?
I see a lot of devs who just copy&paste every code example and expect to work without own thinking or further reading. And then they blame the support or docs :(
@choldgraf Ohh thanks, this is really helpful. Special builders like "Sphinx-SimplePDF" need to overwrite a lot of theme configs, which are normally set for the "html" build. Your approach looks really clean and let the user still provide own stuff. Love it and will adopt it :)
Just released Sphinx-Needs 1.2.0 for #sphinxdoc
It got a nice new directive: list2need
Use simple lists for brainstorming and then get a linked and configured need object for each line.
Can save a lot of time.

I will be in #Lisbon for a complete week in March. Any good spots/events to visit, regarding #opensource, #docsascode or #sphinxdocs?
Would be happy to be part of some good technical discussions or hold some talks about #sphinxneeds and co by my own :)
