@greentheonly It inevitably comes from getting useful information out of what we would consider to be noise. I’d guess Tesla was able to use/write an algorithm to separate electronic noise from pixels illuminated by real photons.

@grantbelden @OverlyTrev Your "fanboy argument" is backwards. The high cost of LiDAR prevents saving lives in the real world because Tesla's FSD saves more lives overall (even if less safe). The avg American drives 1130 mi per month, so $100/mo FSD costs $0.09 per mile. Waymos cost $2-3 per mile.

I went to Skid Row to ask Homeless People in Los Angeles Who They Voted for this last Mayor Election in Los Angeles. Either Karen Bass, Spencer Pratt, or the candidate nobody has heard of Nithya Raman.

Seeminlgy Nithya got around 40,000 statistically impossible late night votes from the tooth fairy or Santa Claus.

With places like Midnight Mission having 125 beds but 1,160 registered voters, or St Joseph Center with 185 registered voters and 0 beds (this place got $600k from Nithya when she was chair of the Housing and Homelessness Committee) we are here to find out if these streets could be the place that gave Nithya that MASSIVE push in votes from mail in ballots.

For example, before parking, when there's a drive-through, passing a car, or making lane changes. Then the AI occasionally prompts the user instead of the the other way around.

@snake_case_jim @BLKMDL3 Tbh Grok would be the ideal interface. It can talk to you on demand and say "we're getting close, do you care where we park?" and it can confirm as it approaches a parking space. That would be much better than on-screen buttons, and it would handle drive-throughs!
