Test against reality, not vibes. Thousands of real return shapes as regression tests. A model change that improves the average case and breaks one edge case is a failed change.

I'd say ~1 year away for @getapril_tax (depending on priority, which "AGI" like isn't an obvious choice).
Key is carefully crafting which parts are AI and which parts are pure deterministic software.
Luckily the slow deterministic part is mostly behind us
