We had a fantastic time at our 1st Daphne Steele Live theatre trip. Taking the book club to the stage. We read ‘The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by @RebeccaSkloot in 2021. So excited to see #familytree@BrxHouseTheatre Amazing cast and unique production.

As the article cites, one of the systemic reasons for U.S. racial health inequities is because our “healthcare system is dominated by white doctors, while Black physicians are underrepresented.”
I would expand this statement to include most health professional roles.

As someone who has spent much of the last 7 years obsessing over understanding, disparities in #Afib, I was excited to learn from the study.
However, I was disappointed to see the attribution of “disparities in care” to biological differences b/w Black and White people.
