How will NVIDIA OpenShell work, and what is the business model behind securing AI agents at scale?

During the Q&A with Jensen Huang at #NVIDIAGTC Berlin 2026, he explained NVIDIA's OpenShell Reference Architecture for Safe AI Agents.

The architecture brings together a secure runtime, tools, enterprise knowledge and the software infrastructure agents need to operate within controlled environments.

Jensen explained how this architecture is being integrated into enterprise software platforms, allowing organisations to deploy and run AI agents in secure containers.

With support from over 100 companies, including leading AI labs, cloud providers, operating system developers and cybersecurity firms, NVIDIA is positioning OpenShell as a common foundation for enterprise agent deployment.

The opportunity is not simply building AI agents, but creating the infrastructure and software ecosystem businesses will depend on to run them safely.

Had the opportunity to see and hold this small but remarkable robot, developed by @pollenrobotics in collaboration with @huggingface .

@nvidia demonstrated how Microduck learns to see, walk and navigate its environment using AI, digital twins and physics-based simulation.

Using NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Isaac Lab and RTX Spark, robots can be trained in virtual environments before transferring their learned capabilities into the physical world.

This is much more than a small robot.

It represents the convergence of agentic AI, robotics, accelerated computing and digital twins, bringing us closer to a future where intelligent machines can learn, adapt and operate alongside humans.

The next industrial revolution is moving from software intelligence to Physical AI.
