Endurance athlete. Exploring intersection of metabolic health & performance. Metabolic health a prerequisite to enable aerobic base development & performance.
@doctorinigo@doctorinigo What is the impact of insulin resistance on fat oxidation? Would a fasting HOMA2-IR %B > 100%, drive metabolic equilibrium at very low intensities? Would this person move rapidly into Z3/Z4 & the performance gets capped by glycolytic system, also at low intensity?

@BenBikmanPhD Hi Ben. Do elevated blood lactate levels - at rest and during exercise - drive hyperinsulinemia, in a manner similar to elevated carbs? Do you have a view on a healthy lactate level at rest?
@PhysioNetwork Hi. Your original offer was misleading. There is no free e-book ... you have to sign up for $119 subscription to masterclass in order to get the e-book. Disappointed with the approach.
Hormesis is a fundamental concept in biology, and in health and disease.
Importantly, you can use hormesis deliberately to improve your own health and live longer.
What is hormesis?

Rotator Cuff disease is highly correlated with advancing age. The AAOS has developed guidelines based on best available literature that can help surgeons and patients navigate their way through this common problem. https://t.co/5A9yHck6IK.
@kevinnbass Soybeans, lentils, tofu, mushrooms, and most green vegetables (lettuce, kale, collard greens, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, spinach, and arugula) are all over 40% which is amazingly high protein. 😁👍🏽
IK, R? I kind of feel sorry for anyone who isn’t eating it every night for dessert like I do. 😁
Protein Ice Cream: 🍨
1. ~1 cup low carb & low fat milk (unsweetened almond milk or Fairlife fat free).
2. ~1.5 cups frozen berries (I ♥️ raspberries).
3. ~1.5 serving whey powder.

@JeanmarcBenoit @Milhouse_Van_Ho@DonaldWelsh16@rubiconcapital_ Found this G&M article, it states - during the Spring (2020?) 416 deaths/810 discharges from ICU in Ontario. Since Sept 1008 deaths/1687 discharges; ie., survival rate of 66% in Spring and 63% since September.

@JeanmarcBenoit @Milhouse_Van_Ho@DonaldWelsh16@rubiconcapital_ Please post/repost data for median days in ICU by covid patients. Is there any insight in the median days data on the effectiveness of ICU care today versus last year this time? Curious if we can assess ICU survival rate through another line of inquiry @Milhouse_Van_Ho
@garytaubes@KevinH_PhD Q: How does the body dispose excess calories, consumed daily, once the person is at stable weight/personal fat threshold? Does the disposal mechanism change with age? There has to be a mechanism that supplements some daily variation in basal metabolic rates.
