@mfloresRWS392 That's a great graphic, I think cut puts like that help substantially with understanding the basic layout of what your describing #RHUB392
I feel this is a good image to at least give perspective on the chernobyl layout and what was causing the failure. We can use Green's teachings to see how something like this can be mitigated in the future by any sort of change in design. #RHUB392
After watching greens video it becomes apparent that doing meticulous checks for integrity and safety I absolutely needed, even on tried and true designs. This is important for things like nuclear plants where each safety mechanism MUST perform as designed. #RHUB392
In the How to Write an Eng Report article, the a key point is that these reports are to offer the audience a summary of a problem or process, not to show off individual knowledge or "teach" them something. #RHUB392
A good point made in the full tech report paper is that in engineering, your tech report will most often be seen by supervisors who are also engineers. But at the same time you must write in clear and descriptive way as they still won't know the full process of the work #RHUB392
The collaborative writing section shows that a solid foundation of skills between all members greatly helps the flow of the writing process, especially in the document production stage of the process. #RHUB392
Last's discussion on oral presentation and public speaking showed me that it is a learned skill, and very few people are naturally good at speaking publicly. There are resources out there like the TED talks which show you how others overcome thier own fears. #RHUB392
@BigJPrado Yeah I think the world tends to put a spotlight on engineering failures because they can be so crucial to public safety. It's both good and bad. Overall these failures help future engineers build a safer environment for society. #RHUB392
(2/2) But as engineers we must continue to learn from failures in order to become better at what we do. Engineers must look at the history of past failures or else become doomed to repeat them. #RHUB392
(1/2) After reading Petroski's article about failure I can see how engineering failures can be put in the spotlight and shape the way failures are perceived in the field and by the public. Engineers take on larger more unique tasks and thus are under the public eye more. #RHUB392
@CMilleriii_F This is a great graphic to use, definitely something needed in the instructions or else describing each nut by words alone would be hard. #RHUB392
I plan on using this picture, or using my own picture of this same diagram for my instructions. It's a general overview of the parts and assembly for an ender 5 pro 3D printer. This is printed on the printer itself for easy of access. #RHUB392
I thought the concept of mind mapping was a great point. I think it's beneficial to make a rough bullet point list of how your ideas might connect to one another to make a more cohesive scope within your paper. #RHUB392
The reccomendation add on is new to me. But I think it would be interesting to relate it to something an audience member can use in life. I'm not sure how I can reccomend scramjets but as supersonic flight becomes more of a topic, maybe I can instill trust about them. #RHUB392
@victorreyesSDSU The picture is good but I think you should definitely label each part to better convey to the audience what they are. Overall good picture! #RHUB392
