The Church must be so deeply & intimately involved with the concerns of the neighbourhood that it becomes clear to everyone that nothing is outside God’s love but it ought not to fit so comfortably that it is welcomed as a well meaning agency of philanthropy.

In a time like now, Christian neighboring looks less like fearful self-preservation and more like servanthood toward the elderly, those with HIV, autoimmune disease, or no healthcare, fatigued and under-resourced healthcare workers, etc.
