@johnennis LLM AI cannot do maths, even at grade school level. It searches its training data for text and symbols that match the prompt and produces an answer to match, even if it's hopelessly wrong. Add random numbers and symbols to a known problem: the human ignores them, the AI cannot.
@trikcode Words change. Script, prompt, task, memory, parameter, hallucination, jailbreak, deepfake, agent all had meanings before AI, and now they have new meanings. Get over it.
@GaryMarcus Obviously. So some investors get badly burned and a few companies share the AI commodity market at 1/1000 the current price. But which ones to back?
@StringHemu Git is insanely clever in concept, unbelievably bad in UI design and execution. Answer: find a better UI. Fork, Kraken, TortoiseGit, those are just the ones I've used, there are plenty more.
@fchollet Stock markets are highly efficient at setting the price for a traded instrument. If you discover an inefficiency (mis-pricing) you can trade on it and make money. By doing that you help to make the market more efficient.
@TrueAIHound Bollocks. Turing proved the theory of computation. Every computer emulates a Turing Machine (more or less). Babbage tried to build one, others succeeded with the engineering, but Turing did the theory that made it all possible.
