1/ 🧵 A Russian-owned refinery in Finland is quietly turning Russian nickel into "Western" metal — and shipping a copper by-product back to Russia.
Through 4+ (or 12+) years of war, the EU has never sanctioned it. We built NICKEL22 to expose it. 🇫🇮🇷🇺
Alright let’s have a proper scientific poll now, so please share / repost for a nice big range of views. If you lived in Clacton, who would you vote for?
Ukraine is giving a fully justified response to Russia striking our country and prolonging the war.
Today, our long-range sanctions reached the Saratov region, Tatarstan, and Bashkortostan – roughly 800, 1,400, and 1,500 kilometers from the front line. They also reached the Voronezh region – about 300 kilometers from our border.
I thank the warriors of the Unmanned Systems Forces and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and our intelligence agencies for their accuracy.
The Saratov oil refinery was hit. Warriors of the Special Operations Forces struck an oil refinery in Tatarstan.
Russians must feel that their state is waging this war. I thank everyone who helps defend Ukraine!
They invaded us. They were “the magnificent empire”. We were the lowly “pig breeders”.
When we didn’t greet them with flowers and fought back, they called us “American proxies”.
When America said “it’s not our war”, they called us “war mongers”. As if we attacked them.
In the fifth year of bombarding our cities, they started calling their strikes “retaliation” and our strikes “provocation”.
Which doesn’t change the truth: their war is a geopolitical murder in plain view. It’s fascism pure.
“Never again” is now, again.
Ukrainians have announced a boycott of Netflix: users are massively canceling subscriptions
The reason is that Netflix has acquired the rights to the 8 and 9 seasons of the animated series Masha and the Bear, and has extended its agreement covering previous seasons and spin-offs of the project.
The platform will broadcast it in more than 100 countries worldwide.
Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation stated that the cartoon is an element of Russia’s “soft power” and forms a positive image of the country through its characters and symbolism.
They believe that such content influences children and promotes Russian narratives.
Netflix has not yet commented on the situation.
⚡🇧🇪 Belgium is openly buying hundreds of thousands of tons of #RussianSteel slabs from Kremlin-linked oligarch Vladimir Lisin’s #NLMK every year. Russia supplies 58% of the EU’s slabs, with Belgium taking nearly one third, per @KyivIndependent. These ultra-cheap semi-finished products flow to NLMK’s plants in Wallonia (just 22 km from Brussels), giving local re-rollers a major cost advantage. 🇧🇪authorities openly block #EUSanctions on Lisin to protect jobs in a struggling region. Full phase-out is delayed until 2028. This is sanctions hypocrisy at its finest: national economic interests override pressure on 🇷🇺war economy. #MakeRussiaPay

@SwiiLive You can also go the slay the spire 2 route, where they use hand drawn drawings as place holders where they somewhat represent the final version but are still very distinct from the final piece.
@ProudBavaria Ran a 14 session adventure for some friends, we all quite enjoyed the system, there are some really good ideas, though you need to get used to it, if you only have played DnD. There are no pre-made campaigns just settings, so you need to be up for making the story yourself.
More than 500 personnel of the State Emergency Service have been involved in dealing with the aftermath of Russia’s overnight attack on our cities and communities. The main strike was on Kyiv, where dozens of residential buildings and other purely civilian infrastructure were damaged again. Tragically, four people have been reported killed. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. At this moment, 38 people are in hospitals in the capital, and all of them are receiving the necessary care.
In Dnipro, a search and rescue operation is ongoing at the site of a four-story apartment building. Part of the building was essentially demolished. Nine people were killed in this attack, including a child. Thirty-five people were injured in the city. The fate of six more people remains unknown. The search for them will continue for as long as necessary.
The Russians also struck energy facilities in the Kharkiv region and critical infrastructure in Kharkiv. Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Khmelnytskyi regions also came under attack.
In total, overnight Russia launched 656 attack drones and 73 missiles of various types at our people – ballistic, cruise, and anti-ship missiles. A large-scale attack and an absolutely clear statement from Russia: if Ukraine is not protected from ballistic and other missile strikes, these attacks will continue. Europe needs its own anti-ballistic defense so that this war can finally be brought to an end. And assistance from the United States in supplying missiles for Patriot systems is absolutely necessary. We are counting on the support of our partners and on effective responses to today’s attack.
And I thank all Ukrainian men and women for not ignoring air raid alerts.
Glory to Ukraine!
Today has been a difficult day in Ukraine after a massive Russian strike. There were many ballistic missiles and drones. Now air-raid alerts are active across various regions too. And once again, we are facing aerial threats. Just today, Russian strikes have taken 22 lives in Kyiv and Dnipro, including children. We are doing everything to protect our people, our cities, and our communities. And we are grateful to those who are helping us. Ukraine is grateful to Italy. We deeply value that you care, that you want peace for us, and see the defense of Kyiv’s independence and freedom as your cause. Together, we will certainly achieve this.
I congratulate Italy, President Mattarella @Quirinale, President of the Council of Ministers @GiorgiaMeloni, and all Italian people on the 80th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic. Freedom is an achievement that must be defended every day.
Thank you, Italy! Buona Festa della Repubblica!
