The state of Israel has committed genocide against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza strip.
Watch this video to understand how Amnesty International arrived at this conclusion.
Governments must take action—they have the power to end this genocide.

🌡️ 1.5°C exceptional warming is caused by human GHG emissions 🏭
We are causing #globalwarming 100 times faster than past natural changes
We are taking Earth’s 🌎 climate beyond natural limits, with CO2 & temps levels not seen for 3 million years @COP29_AZ
Biden should go all out on climate for the next 75 days.
Declare a climate emergency. Get all the IRA money out the door. Permit new transmission lines. Stop new LNG exports. Ban drilling on public lands.
Make a mountain of progress for Trump to try and undo.
No technical solution to notify me when it is almost my turn? Or how about we schedule a mutual convenient day for repair? How can you market your products is indispensable yet then ask me to give it up for a week...
@AppleSupport My local genius bar (Cambridge UK) diagnose my broken touch ID and have new key in stock. Then they suggest I leave my macbook in their repair queue for up to 7 working days! What!?! Should I take seven days off work and not give my lectures, skip a phd viva...
Here's our last parody song about the #USElection2024. It's called "Bohemian Trumpsody" (based on the inimitable @QueenWillRock but with only six voices & no overdubs) & we've self-trolled in it as 'libtards' already, just to save folks time who might be offended 🎶🗳️🤞

A vast, ancient slab of seafloor plunged beneath the Pacific Ocean and has hovered in Earth’s mantle for more than 120 million years, a new study suggests https://t.co/YAPYFD3IV8
Many previous ones are potentially at locations where they are a root to mantle plumes that cause volcanism at the surface (e.g. for Hawaii, Iceland, Galapagos, Samoa). This one seems a bit of a loner and potentially not connected.
The boundary between the core and the mantle, 3000 km deep, is scattered with island/blobs of strange material. In this study, @CarlMartin_ uses seismic waves to image one of these beneath the mid Pacific. https://t.co/EGbMN6yVDL
The blob is about the width of Iceland, and only about 10 km in height. Previous ones we found were about 20 km, and we needed to go to higher frequency observations to map this thinner one.
