There's a new intercontinental data pathway between Geneva and Seoulβa post-quantum one. The data that traverses itβours.
This pathway is part of a multi-layered post-quantum security connection between our offices in Switzerland and South Korea. It's a model for governments and enterprises the world over.
Financial loss. Damage to critical infrastructure. Reputational harm. Toppled stability. Without quantum-level security, many pitfalls lie ahead.
But our hybrid solution, which leverages both quantum key distribution (#QKD) and post-quantum cryptography (#PQC), points the way to quantum-level security.

We've received $7.5 million in follow-on funding from the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), reflecting the strength of our partnership and the value of our full-stack approach.
The Phase 2 contract with AFRL expands upon the first-generation quantum network we previously delivered in Rome, New York, adding advanced optical, hardware, and software layers for real-world deployment.
βWe are building quantum networking that runs on standard telecom infrastructure and through open air, and proving it on a live network,β said @jordan_shapiro, IonQ President, Quantum Platform.

$IONQ Intel is buying Classiq for a reported $2.3B. Quantum software just got a price tag.
Classiq is the software layer: you describe the algorithm, it builds the circuit for the machine you target. Intel wants to use it to bring quantum computing to developers and organizations worldwide.
IonQ is already inside this layer, twice.
Classiq: IonQ joined its strategic round in November 2025, and its SDK runs circuits on IonQ Forte.
Horizon Quantum: IonQ was among the lead investors in the $110M PIPE and holds 13.3% of its Class A shares, per its SEC 13D. Horizon is also buying an IonQ 256-qubit system.
The value of the software layer is now priced in public. IonQ has stakes in two of its players.
IonQ's CEO Niccolo de Masi had said it: "The hardware is ready. Now we need software."

$INTC is reportedly acquiring quantum software startup Classiq for ~$2.3B as it looks to build software layer that works across different types of quantum computers.
Pretty interesting considering Intel lost the AI software battle to $NVDA CUDA and now wants to avoid making same mistake in quantum by owning tools developers build on before industry takes off.
Let the quantum buyouts begin.
Intel to acquire Israeli quantum startup Classiq for $2.3 billion
Note:
Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan was an early investor in $IONQ, putting in his own money back in 2019.
$IONQ has an investment in Classiq.
In November 2025, Classiq announced a strategic up-round (estimated at around $30β40 million) that included participation from IonQ, along with AMD Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, Mirae Asset Capital, LeumiTech77 (Bank Leumi), and Quantum Eretz. This brought Classiqβs cumulative funding to over $200 million.
IonQ described the move as both an investment and a partnership to help build enterprise quantum applications on its hardware. There are also ongoing technical collaborations, such as Classiq supporting execution on IonQ systems and joint work on applications like quantum optimization for natural gas networks.

@BobLSwagger2@SteCK1878 130 kph (80 mph) is the *recommended* speed on the Autobahn. There is no minimum. (The vehicle must be *able* to drive at least 60 kph though.) You're supposed to use the right lane if possible and the others just for overtaking. Unfortunately, this rule is only loosely enforced.
