Credit growth to Self Help Groups is vital and is regarded as the lifeblood of rural economy. Credit growth indicates productive investments strengthening the SHGs' income generating ability and contributing to their sustainability.

Declining credit growth indicates lower investment, thereby lower incomes and resultantly lower consumption, clearly indicating the distress.

The negative year-on-year State Government tax revenues growth of 3.22% during FY 2025-26 also evidences this fall in consumption and economic distress.

Interest subvention to SHG loans is vital for promoting SHG credit growth. During the period of the YSRCP Government between 2019-24 the direct support given by the Government to the SHG sector through interest subvention alone is Rs. 4,969 crores. Further YSRCP Government through programmes such as Aasara and cheyutha provided immense support to SHG women enabling them to stand on their feet.

The TDP-JSP have made a commitment in their Manifesto to the effect that, 'The loan limit up to which SHG loans interest subvention scheme is applicable would be increased from Rs. 3 lakhs to Rs. 10 lakhs'.

As usual after assuming power, the TDP alliance hoodwinked the people by ignoring the commitment made. Let alone interest subvention on the increased loan limit, even the existing interest subvention programme has been rendered ineffective with no support whatsoever. Amount under interest subvention released during 2024-25 is 'zero', budgeted for FY 2025-26 is Rs. 100 crores and released is 'zero', budgeted for FY 2026-27 is again Rs. 100 crore and likely release is zero. Even if we assume Rs. 6,00,000 debt with respect to every SHG group, the interest subvention amount in tune with the commitment of TDP can be estimated to be around Rs. 3,000 crores. Therefore, during the first two years of the TDP alliance Government, the amount that the beneficiaries were deprived of is Rs. 6,000 crores.

Owing to the steps taken by YSRCP government, the credit growth to SHGs demonstrated a heathy growth during 2019-24 and the lack of support by the present Government resulted in decline in credit growth from Rs. 49,696 crores in FY 2023-24 to Rs. 41,623 crores in FY 2024-25 and further to Rs. 41,105 crores in FY 2025-26.

This is not just an attack on YSRCP; it is an attack on democratic values and freedom of expression. We only reveal facts, expose the government’s failures and corrupt practices, and bring to light issues that affect the people. Silencing an opposition party’s official handles, there by opposition voices for speaking the truth sets a dangerous precedent and is most undemocratic.

From cases being filed against those questioning the government on expenditure profligacy associated with Amaravati capital development, irregularities in the DSC process, TTD ghee tenders, and other matters of public importance bringing to light appropriate evidence of rampant corruption, to the restriction of critical content online, a disturbing pattern is emerging.

We will challenge these unfair actions through every legal and constitutional avenue. No intimidation, censorship, or misuse of institutions can silence the voice of the people. We remain committed to holding those in power accountable and defending the fundamental right to freedom of speech and expression.

We demand the immediate restoration of the official page in the interest of democracy and to uphold the constitutional spirit.

TDP deliberately stalled the short discussion on the T.T.D. Laddu Prasadam issue in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council and ensured that the debate did not take place. By creating disruptions and preventing a full discussion, the ruling party avoided accountability on a matter of public importance.
The Council had officially listed the short discussion on the Tirumala Laddu issue in its agenda. After Question Hour, the Chairman announced the commencement of the discussion and gave the first opportunity to the opposition. YSRCP MLC P. Chandrashekar Reddy started the discussion and began raising points on the issue. Immediately, TDP ministers and MLCs created a hue and cry in the House. They objected and insisted that the Endowments Minister would first make a statement.
The Chairman clearly ruled that there was no need to read out any statement during a short discussion. Despite this, TDP members continued their unruly behavior and did not allow P. Chandrashekar Reddy to continue his speech. Due to the repeated disruptions, the Chairman was forced to postpone the discussion to the next day.
By blocking the debate, TDP demonstrated its unwillingness to face a transparent discussion on the Tirumala Laddu issue.

Shiva Mala Dharana devotees were lathi charged by Andhra Pradesh Police under TDP governance.
Devotees across Andhra Pradesh are living with growing fear when they step into temples under the TDP coalition government led by N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Pilgrims who once travelled with devotion and confidence now arrive with anxiety and doubt. A string of painful, preventable failures has shaken faith in the system, yet the response from the TDP government is limited to publicity exercises and after the event routine reviews, with responsibility, accountability and moral answerability nowhere in sight.
At Srisailam Temple, the breakdown became painfully clear when Police Lathi Charged Shiva Mala Dharana devotees. For years, Lord Shiva devotees who arrived on padayatra had time across the Shivaratri season to fulfil their vow with dignity. Now the window has been compressed to seven days. Authorities knew lakhs would arrive, yet failed to put in place adequate arrangements. Drinking water, shade, queues and medical help were insufficient. Families waited for hours in punishing conditions. Slogans rose against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, but instead of providing relief, Government resorted to using force. Devotees who came to pray were beaten with lathis.

⚠️⚠️Even after earlier tragedies, the TDP government failed to reform.
Temple tragedies in Andhra Pradesh in 2025:
📍 Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, Tirupati – 8 January 2025 – 6 devotees died in a stampede while queuing for Vaikunta Ekadasi tokens. This happened for the first time in the history of TTD.
📍 Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, Simhachalam – 30 April 2025 – 7 devotees died when a newly constructed low-in quality wall collapsed during Chandanotsavam.
📍 Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Kasibugga – 1 November 2025 – 9 devotees died in a stampede during Karthika Ekadasi.
Many more such incidents have been occurring across the state. Each tragedy rang like a loud alarm demanding urgent correction, yet it was brushed aside without meaningful action

⚠️⚠️ Chandrababu Naidu’s cheap politics now dominate sacred spaces, with the Tirumala laddu dragged into repeated controversies for political mileage, hurting crores of devotees, damaging the reputation of temples, and now this has reached all temples across the state. When @ncbn and @PawanKalyan speak of Sanatana Dharma yet stay silent on devotees being humiliated and beaten, people ask who will take responsibility.

చంద్రబాబుగారి పాలనలో చోటుచేసుకుంటున్న వరుస ఘటనలు, వైఫల్యాలు అత్యంత బాధకలిగిస్తున్నాయ��. నివారించగలిగిన ఘటనలు అయినప్పటికీ, ప్రభుత్వం విఫలంకావడం వ్యవస్థలపై భక్తులకున్న విశ్వాసాన్ని సన్నగిల్లేలా చేస్తోంది. ఇంత జరిగినా టీడీపీ ప్రభుత్వం స్పందిస్తున్న తీరు దారుణంగా ఉంది. కేవలం ప్రచార విన్యాసాలు, ఘటన తర్వాత జరిగే రొటీన్ సమీక్షలకే ప్రభుత్వం పరిమితమవుతోంది. జవాబుదారీతనం, బాధ్యత అన్నవి ఈ ప్రభుత్వంలో ఎక్కడా కనిపించడం లేదు.

శ్రీశైలం ఆలయంలో, శివమాల ధారణ చేసిన భక్తులపై పోలీసులు లాఠీచార్జ్ రూపంలో ప్రభుత్వ యంత్రాంగంలో ఘోరమైన వైఫల్యం బయటపడింది. సంవత్సరాలుగా మహాశివరాత్రి సమయంలో పాదయాత్రగా శ్రీశైలం వెళ్లే భక్తులకు ఇచ్చే సమయాన్ని ఏడు రోజులకు కుదించారు.

దీనివల్ల పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో భక్తులు వస్తారని అధికారులకు ముందే తెలిసినా, సరైన ఏర్పాట్లు చేయలేదు. తాగునీరు, క్యూల నిర్వహణ, వైద్య సదుపాయాలు అన్నీ లోపించాయి. తమ పిల్ల���పాపలతో ఆలయానికి వచ్చిన కుటుంబాలు గంటల తరబడి దారుణమైన పరిస్థితుల్లో వేచి చూడాల్సి వచ్చింది. ప్రభుత్వ వైఫల్యాలను నిలదీస్తూ ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు‌, ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రి పవన్‌కళ్యాణ్‌లకు వ్యతిరేకంగా నినాదాలు చేశారు. భక్తులకు ఉపశమనం ఇవ్వాల్సిన చోట, పోలీసులు బలప్రయోగానికి దిగారు. దర్శనానికి వచ్చిన భక్తులను లాఠీలతో కొట్టి తరిమారు.

⚠️⚠️ రాష్ట్రంలో తిరుపతి సహా అనేక ఆలయాల్లో గత��లో జరిగిన విషాద ఘటనల తరువాత కూడా, భక్తులకు సరైన ఏర్పాట్లు చేయడంలో టీడీపీ ప్రభుత్వం పూర్తిగా విఫలమైంది.

2025లో ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌లో ఆలయాల్లో జరిగిన విషాదాలు చూస్తే..:

•📍 తిరుపతిలో జనవరి 8, 2025న వైకుంఠ ఏకాదశి దర్శనం టోకెన్ల కోసం క్యూలో ఉన్న సమయంలో జరిగిన తొక్కిసలాటలో 6గురు భక్తులు మృతి చెందారు. టీటీడీ చరిత్రలో ఇలాంటి దుర్ఘటన జరగడం ఇదే తొలిసారి.

•📍 శ్రీ వరాహ లక్ష్మీ నరసింహ స్వా��ి ఆలయం, సింహాచలంలో ఏప్రిల్ 30, 2025న చందనోత్సవం సమయంలో నూతనంగా నిర్మించిన నాసిరకం గోడ కూలిపోవడంతో 7గురు భక్తులు మృతి చెందారు.

•📍 శ్రీకాకుళం జిల్లా కాశీబుగ్గలోని వెంకటేశ్వర స్వామి ఆలయంలో నవంబర్ 1, 2025న కార్తీక ఏకాదశి సందర్భంగా జరిగిన తొక్కిసలాటలో 9 మంది భక్తులు మృతి చెందారు. ఇవికాకుండా ఆలయాల్లో అనేక ఘటనలు జరుగుతూనే ఉన్నాయి.

జాగ్రత్తపడాల్సిన, తగిన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాల్సిన ఆవశ్యకతను వర��సగా జరుగుతున్న ఘటనలు హెచ్చరించినప్పటికీ ప్రభుత్వం తీవ్ర నిర్లక్ష్యంలో కూరుకుపోయింది.

YSRCP writes to DGP over murder attempt on Ambati Rambabu

Tadepalli, Jan 31: The YSR Congress Party has strongly condemned the attempted murder of senior leader and former minister Ambati Rambabu, calling it a dangerous, politically motivated act that exposes the breakdown of law and order in Andhra Pradesh. In a letter to the DGP, YSRCP General Secretary and Central Office In-Charge, MLC Lella Appireddy said the attack, where goons surrounded Rambabu’s residence, was a deliberate conspiracy to intimidate opposition voices questioning the government.

The party said the incident shows how unsafe the state has become, even for former ministers, and expressed serious suspicion of ruling-party-linked elements being behind the violence. YSRCP criticised the police for failing to act promptly, terming it evidence of administrative paralysis and political pressure on the force.

YSRCP demanded an immediate, impartial investigation to punish both attackers and conspirators, full security for Ambati Rambabu, and protection for opposition leaders statewide. The party asserted it will not be silenced by threats or violence and warned that people will hold the government accountable for eroding law and order.
