The code for the dYdX Chain node software, indexer, and frontend will soon be open sourced!
FYI it will be released under a business license until the official release as it is not yet production ready. At the official release (coming soon!) it’ll be fully open sourced 🤝
If dYdX chain succeeds in pulling users from Eth/L2s, it creates a playbook for other alt L1s to go after Eth users by prioritising Eth native UX
It also means that Metamask snaps may end up being one of the most bullish catalysts for Alt L1s by making integration far easier
@dYdX chain will be an interesting litmus test for this hypothesis: UX will feel like an Eth L2 (seamless bridging experience+ metamask), but it will be an entirely separate chain with no technical or philosophical ties to Ethereum
brah i cannot believe they deadass sued all the existing crypto exchanges and then subsequently filed for all of their own new exchanges/ETFs less than a week later these niggas really have no shame at all
Tfw every single one of the “alternatives” is collateralised by centralised stablecoins
Decentralised finance still desperately needs decentralised money
@cosmos@delphi_labs@noble_xyz@dYdX@AntonioMJuliano App-chain customizability allows dYdX to maximise scalability by having validators run an in-memory orderbook (i.e. off-chain) where only matched orders are committed to consensus

@cosmos@delphi_labs@noble_xyz@dYdX@AntonioMJuliano In summary, the launch of dYdX v4 will:
- bring a lot of new users and liquidity to the Cosmos
- show off the power and versatility of the Cosmos SDK stack
- act as an example for other ambitious teams who may want to build out customized app-chain product experiences
Was remarking to a friend yesterday
The fact that bitcoin almost mechanically rallies on news of bank failures is one of the most validating phenomena I’ve experienced in a decade of doing this
