Glad to share that my research about ML feature space exploration in the context of Icequake and Earthquake classification has been published in GJI - https://t.co/UW970aE8FL
Thanks to my coauthors
@DenolleMarine and Michael West for their support.

Ready for cloud seismology?
Krauss et al. provide tutorials for code migration to cloud platforms, delving into the benefits (cost-effectiveness, speed, on-demand access) & challenges (learning curve) of this transformative approach.

In this new #BSSA paper, scientists use a southern California earthquake to help model the effects of soil on three different building typologies. Soil-structure interactions can significantly increase seismic demand.

ESS and PNSN's Steve Malone was the key seismologist who recognized the developing swarms of earthquakes and alerted the USGS and authorities of the potential for an eruption.
Now 43 years later, Steve continues to be a very active and invaluable member of @PNSN1's team.
También la revista @ScienceMagazine alguna vez dedicó una nota a resultados preliminares de nuestro trabajo, enfocado en el @MetroCDMX, consúltese aquí:

This feels unreal! I am beyond excited to share our book is published! It has been an amazing 2 year journey and thank you all for the wonderful contribution! Hope this book inspires AI beginners to comfortably explore intersection of #AI and #EarthScience 🎉☺️ #bookrelease
Ni et al. collected and curated 21 years of seismic network data analysis in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S., and produced the first AI-ready benchmark seismic dataset to include non-earthquake signals and analyst-verified data attributes.

@DrVasshe@Laura_Ermert@bwcphd@jkwillenbring It's hard to see P waves using passive methods. In concrete and with partial saturation, the coda is mostly S waves, and vs behaves just like natural systems (decrease with humidity). I am not aware of wavespeed changes with composition ? Anyway, happy too see more work on that !
I would highly recommend this scholarship/internship combo. Really great opportunity if you're a college sophomore (for a junior summer position)! I got to study snow droughts in the Western US using large ensemble climate modeling. #internship#noaa https://t.co/dbJWjjaEqw
I feel too honored to not share that our work - @DenolleMarine@Mr_InSAR, me and E. Chaussard and E. Cabral Cano (not on twitter) was featured on "Science in Action" https://t.co/ONHFRUn2DX

@seismo_akash I hope you find your current options attractive 😉 unconventional profiles may be assessed differently by people. Rejection is unfortunately part of the routine for academics

Rumour has it that there will be an amazing ambient noise session at EGU this year led by Sven Schippkus, @yesimcubuk & others, featuring Yixiao Sheng and Chantal van Dinther as invited speakers. One day left to join them! :)
