1. Many diseases we treat and cure today were once considered “natural”
2. Resources are something to be concerned about but in many instances we have an abundance, throw away due to expiration, or were not efficient.
3. Go back to school or learn a new trade.
4. Go on an adventure.
@rand_longevity I’m 37 years old, but I feel like I’m about 26. I’m a registered nurse by profession, and I also play in the semi-professional division of tournament paintball, (I’m in the solid red jersey). Staying active is crucial for me. 😎
@SenSanders Let’s slow down so our possible adversaries can surpass us….. sounds like a great idea 🙄🙄🙄. Bro thinks we’re the only ones that can harness this technology.
@annapanart Should have considered an MRI instead of CT scans. MRIs are fantastic for checking out soft tissues and even bones, especially if it’s not an emergency. Plus, they don’t use radiation. CT scans probably added 4-6 years worth of background radiation to your body.
@Dr_Singularity My 6-year-old daughter asked me if I had “ask ChatGPT” when I was her age. I told her, “No, baby girl, we had something called ‘ask Jeeves’.” 😂
@CrackerBarrel I’m a nobody just an average person who loves good comfort food. The Cracker Barrel logo change was nonsense. Lightly modernize the store? Fine. But I’m done (2–3x/month to $0) until the CEO is replaced with someone who knows the customer.
@JuanPorrasFL HOAs are overpriced mini governments nobody asked for. They waste money, breed inefficiency, and fine you because your front door isn’t the “right” shade of red. People don’t need that kind of control abolish HOAs. 🚫🏘️
@sama Just two episodes into pantheon and I’m hooked, mind uploads, AI ethics and identity crises all rolled into one 🤯 Big thanks @sama for the recommendation! Episode 2 is making me rethink what it means to be human in a digital age.
Completely agree with the focus on quality but we shouldn’t shy away from the pursuit of longevity either. Everyone deserves the chance to live a long, healthy life on their own terms. If science can help extend both healthspan and lifespan, why not empower people with that choice?
While I acknowledge the potential for data entry related careers to be automated by more efficient AI, I would like to address the question of nursing. As an advocate for AI and robotics, and a registered nurse with 15 years of experience in the operating room, I have not observed any evidence suggesting that nursing is a field that could be easily replaced by AI or robotics.
Aging isn’t caused by just one thing it’s the result of multiple, overlapping processes such as epigenetic changes, DNA damage, telomere shortening, and the build up of senescent cells. These factors gradually reduce our cells ability to function and regenerate, so aging becomes a chronic, systemic decline.
@rand_longevity Yes 100% , however, I think you need to rephrase your question. Most of the public does not understand that biological age is malleable. They may be under the assumption that living past 120 in a state of frailty is what the outcome would be.
@Strandjunker Instead of assuming the worst about others, it’s better to engage in meaningful conversations to understand different perspectives. After all, history often judges those who refuse to see beyond their own biases.
@Strandjunker Respecting different viewpoints is essential in a democracy. It’s unfair to label an entire group of people based on who they vote for without understanding their reasons. People support candidates for various issues, like the economy, national security, or individual freedoms.
