I believe in an Africa where healthcare is a right, not a privilege. I have championed policies that improve access to primary healthcare, reduce financial barriers, and invest in community health workers. As WHO AFRO Regional Director, I will advocate for innovative financing and policies that make quality healthcare accessible and affordable for every African.

INSIDE THE MANIFESTO 🗒
DOMESTIC HEALTH FINANCING
The world is experiencing challenging moments after cut of funds that have been financing various health interventions. African Region is more likely to be impacted because of donor funded programs that have been implemented in different WHO member states. This is our wake-up call to strengthen domestic health funding by revising and encouraging countries to allocate at least 15% of their budget as agreed in Abuja Declaration. This will be possible through transformative and adaptive leadership within the region. The Manifesto of Prof. Janabi has a clear and achievable focus to strengthen Public-Private partnership, support members states, towards Universal Health Insurance and and to foster continuous partnership and investment to address health funding gaps.
I am committed to uniting, coordinating, and facilitating all @WHOAFRO member states in achieving their individual and collective priorities for building a healthier Africa. It is time for us to come together to strengthen and create more resilient health systems across the continent.
