@naivebased @romlib_ I think you might be anecdotally biased here. BLS expects a growth of about 26k new software eng jobs/yr, and US schools put out about 110k per year. The US college system tends to actually adapt to work force needs quickly. My numbers put that the labor supply outpaces demand.

@naivebased @romlib_ I wont reply to everything else, but if your argument is that labor demand is endless, I think that fact is wrong on its face. Eventually the extra marginal engineer/tech worker has to become less valuable than the previous. We probably shouldnt get into anecdotes.

@naivebased @romlib_ Zero sum is wrong, but so is pretending you could increase the labor pool of a sector indefinitely and the economy would create enough work at the same wages. Labor can grow and respond to supply but markets still have limits on how quickly they can absorb additional workers.

@IterIntellectus I have yet to understand why this is "existential". I understand how economic systems are built on the assumption of continued population geowth, but a negative population growth doesnt mean it will never be positive again. We could just be at some population limit.

Ill change my statement, PPD is real, but most women posting about it are playing mommy victim olympics. Every Mother online has PPD and all their epidurals fail somehow.

@kenzietuff Women 100% can have hormone disregulation post partum. This is exacerbated by them always having been on bc and then immediately getting put back on it. Women should be off for a year prior to pregnancy and then give 18month before starting birth control post partum.

@DoomScroling My advice in general before people try for a child is to come off birth control for at least a year to let you cycle and hormones normalize. After that do not start it again until 18months post partum. The human body is actually really good at regulating itself.

@DoomScroling Im very pro-natalist and definetly belive in PPD. Hormone changes in the body are real and should be given some time to recover. Women also get screwed over by doctors trying to put them back on birth control immediately and also the litany of other unnecessary interventions.

@i2cjak The reason its better to say the amps is because human body has variable resistance. But yea I wouldnt stress working on anything like up to 40-50v. If theres a high power capacity I'd be more worried about burns.

A basic adult task is to be able to put your emotions aside and just handle a situation, this guy is a chld if he cant deal with being annoyed.
