@NilssonHolger@Techjunkie_Aman You should read all of the context, they make privacy claims, they undo the claims on their site in fine print, and double down on their claims on X while the fine print continues to undermine their claims... rightfully so.
@Techjunkie_Aman this is true of all email services that claim to be private, if you send unencrypted emails to them hey have to see them to be able to encrypt them.

@tbone4eva@dsanen1@JayzTwoCents I'm not training my replacement any more than a carpenter using a power saw is training theirs. The tool changes, but the skill to use it right still matters.
Empathy goes both ways though.
Jay wants nuance for his thumbnail use. He's not taking a job because he was never going to hire a thumbnail artist in the first place. I get that. That's fair.
But then he turns around and paints vibe coding with a broad brush like it's all bad. That's not nuance. That's a double standard.
I'm a senior dev. I use vibe coding to prototype things that would take me a month in an afternoon. I still read, edit, and test the code. It didn't replace me. It made me faster. And just like with Jay and thumbnails, I wasn't going to hire a second dev to bang out a prototype anyway. That job never existed.
So if empathy means understanding someone's specific use case without forcing your own framework onto them, then maybe extend some of that empathy to vibe coders who actually know what they're doing. Not everyone using it is a clueless beginner shipping garbage.
This is the kind of thinking that leads us to have people who pump your gas and it's illegal for you to pump your own gas. Looking at you Oregon!
Just because you could hire someone doesn't mean you should.
You should hire someone to do your yard work, you should hire someone to do your nails, you should hire someone to clean you house, you should hire someone to drive you to work.
See all of those jobs you're denying people?!@ /s
I agree and disagree. People vibe coding things is fine, replacing a developer with a vibe coder that doesn't know how to code is awful and won't hold up over time.
As a senior dev I use it build out faster, prototype faster, etc. It enhances my ability to get shit done faster and do things I wouldn't have otherwise been able to.
We're filling a skill gap, an I think that is where AI shines.
@britg@CohhCarnage they're fighting to keep their head above water, they don't have time to crank out another game before Sony shuts them down. They need Marathon to get some traction or die trying.
If they cannot currently detect viewbotting and mitigate it, what makes you think they can... checks notes... detect viewbotting and mitigate it.
This is about average viewership and capping based on that.
This will be end of streamers blowing up on Twitch.
This will be used to abuse metrics and limit payouts.
