If you are hearing about Uganda Martyrs for the first time, here's a brief history of how they came to be killed. Happy #MartyrsDay 2026 🙏.
#StaySafe follow @MinofHealthUG guidelines #Ebola
Every 3rd June, Uganda welcomes thousands of Christians and tourists to Namugongo Catholic Shrine to remember, pray, comprehend and celebrate the lives of #Martyrs who chose death over relinquishing their faith. 2026 is different due to #Ebola outbreak. @uganda_martyrs
Despite #Ebola outbreak, Christians, Ugandans and Baganda in particular will still commemorate the day of the #Martyrs who gave up their lives for Christ at Namugongo. @GovUganda has guided us on how to safely hold prayers from each one's locality countrywide. @uganda_martyrs
