I'm quite sure there are more than 1000 "busted spouses". I got one of "those" specific phone calls. Right along with a call from a laughing husband on his first taste of morphine. 🤣😩😭 To let me know he was alive, at least. But I definitely remember each and every time we went "dark" after something happened. At one juncture, I had my husband and nephew in Iraq, and another nephew in Afghanistan. It's difficult on your side, but until you've been on this side, you've no clue.
