Sakina's Kiss by Vivek Shanbhag, translated from Kannada by Srinath Perur sketches a portrait of a man caught between comforts of his patriarchal conditioning and his ideological certainties falling flat slowly within Indian middle-class existence

This shameless lady has no clue how to handle pet.
She still takes the dog out without a muzzle & leash.
The house help is in panic after being bitten multiple times, while the lady walks calmly as if she is on a beach.
This lady should be jailed.🤦
Scene looks like from Ring Road Delhi.
Salute to the contractor for his dedication to carry out Welding work above the running traffic. A few burn injuries can always be treated with burnol but work must move on! 👏👏👏
This bhakt saw people blaming BJP for 25 year old Kamal Dhyani’s death after falling into an open pit.
Came in & said blame should not go to BJP but his parents for giving bike to a school kid.
Guy who died was 25, these are the zombies Modi has created.
Chasing babus for father’s death benefits the son in desperation wants to tear up the documents but the mother resists. This is not a nation for the poor!
Most Powerful PM and Chief Minister got scared of a 14 year old Dalit kid🤦♂️
Yeah, a FIR has been filed in Lucknow against Ashwamit Gautam, a content creator.
His fault: Kiddo questioned government on sensitive topics like Social inequality, Jobs, Inflation..

Law & order in new India.🤡
I would never live in a city where i have to go through this daily to just to be able to making a living
All govts have taken this section of society for granted
Women aren't safe. Men who stand up for women aren't safe. Animals aren't safe. Children aren't safe. The only safe ones are these monsters and the ones sitting at the top of the hierarchy.
Aishwarya Rai 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
In an age where the likes of Shilpa Shetty and Ekta Kapoor are sucking up to majoritarian Hindutva jokers like Dhirendra Shastri, Aishwarya talks about humanity on a platform where Modi was in attendance.
It may sound basic but in today’s India, it’s rare.
Conmen who spread all kinds of quackery and sermonize gullible followers to discard western medicine
But when their own lives are in danger, they run to a modern hospital &/or take help from qualified doctors!
Those schooling me to not bring politics in #RedFort blast today, Should see this👇
How after 26/11 attacks:
When Entire country was in panic
Financial capital was under attack.
And Modi was busy in blame politics standing right in front of ‘half burnt’ Taj Hotel🙄

LIVE- Sharam se doob ke mar jaaeye jitne bhi sarkaar ke log hain. SHAME.
I’m outside LNJP hospital right now. Families here are telling me they’re not even being provided ambulances.
Doctors are telling them: “Khud se dekho kaise leke jaaoge bodies”
Massive ruckus outside LNJP
Imagine if Manmohan Singh had flown out of India the very next morning after a blast in the national capital, how the media and the BJP would have ripped him apart!
Everyone in Delhi does cycle , but just not the people you think.
Those rows of Hero and Atlas cycles you see? They’re not used by the “urban cycling movement.” They belong to guards, delivery boys, and housekeeping staff ; people who can’t afford ₹60 a day on buses or ₹120 on the metro.
At the other end are Lycra-clad professionals on imported bikes worth a month’s salary for the first group. Cycling for fitness and Sunday selfies.
The missing middle? The salaried Delhiite who’d rather pay ₹50 more for an auto or ₹100 for a cab than fry on tarmac at 44 °C with an AQI of 350.
Delhi’s heat index literally hit 51.9 °C this summer, and less than 12 % of the year is “comfortably breathable.”
So yes, Delhi has cycles. Just not many cyclists by choice.
