I was a fan of Tate a decade or so ago when I was first discovering my masculinity. He was one of the big masculinity accounts on Twitter. He wasnt world known or anything back then, probably had 100K followers, influential but not outside of tpot.
I understood at the time that he was, for lack of a better term, an amoral power maxxer. I am pretty sure i knew about his cam girl site history, or at least when i heard about it later it didnt change my view much. But that was in many ways exactly who many blue state city boys raised in the longhouse like me needed to break our gynocentric conditioning. His views and advice on mindset, feminism, discipline, etc were genuinely refreshing, useful, and deeply transgressive.
I had moved on to other things by the time his meteoric rise occurred, but i kept loose tabs. He started getting a lot of hate, as you might expect a transgressive cultural icon might to get, which influenced me slightly. Though more because I have always viewed that power and ethics are at war, and that people who become influencers have an at least sub clinical narcissism and need for drama and fame, and that no one is a saint, so suspected the criticism was directionally deserved.
When the sex trafficking allegations came out, i was equally not really surprised. “Big alphamale, transgressive, misogynist, ex pornographer discovered to have crossed the line” was not a hard sell. Again, it didnt make me hate Tate. He, like Elon or Trump, is a particular beast of a certain nature, and measuring him by his worst moments rather than all his moments, or his positive influence on broader society, is something only deeply dishonest or deeply retarded people do. But it was enough for me to go “another icarus flys too close to the sun. Such is life”
I still found Tate occasionally hilarious, often insightful, and watched clips of him and his brother when they came up in my feed. But didnt pay attention to the overall trend of the case, and kind of forget about them really.
And that is basically how i felt about Tate until i watched this interview. To say it “changes everything” might be too strong, but it certainly changes a lot, if it’s true.
If it’s true, it is one of the most insightful and horrifying looks into modern political gamesmanship and corruption of recent memory. And the episode really is a work of art regardless. Tate is a masterful storyteller.
Im trying to reserve judgement until i hear the other side, as people like Tate’s great gift is the ability to persuade and pull you into their reality distortion field by selectively telling a compelling narrative. But based on just some basic facts like that in 4 years there has never been a trial, them spending months in and out of basically solitary confinement without a trial, how closely it aligns with what was done to Trump all while he was in the middle of being one of the most influential people for an entire generation of young men, and the fact that every retarded person and corrupt system i know of is against him, makes me suspect his narrative will be more truthful than the opposing one.
For now, remain solidly on team Top G. But i am open to a compelling case otherwise.
Either way, you should watch this interview. It is either one of the greatest stories of modern political corruption or one of the greatest cautionary tales of the indefatigable pursuit of power. What certainly cannot be said is that it doesn’t matter.
Benjamin Franklin writes in 1745 on intersexual dynamics and why, if you are determined to give up on marriage and just go after whoring, you should stick to old women.
It's amazing.
Most people think of philosophy as an abstraction that doesn't touch the real world, but they're wrong.
Most real world problems are philosophy problems, and most philosophy problems are "giving things the wrong names".
For example, if you call feral drug addicts "homeless people", then you can't solve the problem. You can only buy more houses for feral drug addicts to destroy.
In this case, we called the police and courts the "justice system".
But they're not. They can't be the justice system.
The function of a justice system would be to give everyone what they deserve.
Now, I deserve a hundred million dollars, a private Caribbean island, and a foot massage from Lauren Bacall in her prime, but I don't see the "justice" system lifting a finger to correct any of this, do you?
No, what we are supposed to have is a public safety system.
The function of a public safety system is to keep the public and their property safe.
If we understood that, we wouldn't care about what criminals deserve. We would care how likely they are to do it again. Or something worse.
In a public safety system, retardation and mental illness are not migrating factors. They are the opposite.
Because they mean that the criminal is more likely to pose a future threat.
We all understand this.
We all understand that the feral retard who stabs strangers on the train for being White and beautiful is a worse person than the man who murders his wife and her lover when he catches them in the act.
Not because of some abstract calculus of moral agency, of who is disadvantaged and who isn't, but because one is certainly going to murder more people if he can, while the other is a lot less likely to.
We've known for centuries, if not millennia, that it's the same small percentage of people doing all the robbing, raping, and murdering, over and over and over again.
And we've known for centuries that if you physically remove them from society, that's 100% effective in stopping them from doing it again.
The only hurdle is philosophical. Call it a "justice" system, and you have to argue endlessly about morality and redemption, and then some leftie thug-hugger weaponizes your own Christianity against you.
Call it public safety, and you confine the argument to likelihood of reoffense. Then you are in the realm of statistics. Which you can compute.
It all starts with naming things correctly, according to their actual nature.
Give once and you elicit appreciation.
Give twice and you create anticipation.
Give three times and you create expectation.
Give four times and it becomes entitlement.
Give five times and you establish dependency.
If you knew how every complaint you voice trains your brain to hunt for more things to complain about, then you would bite your tongue until it bled before speaking another grievance, you'd realize bitching is voluntary brain damage
@PixelsofMark@S0_KJY +great maps, great gun play, and feel
Every perk being good is important because it makes it like you are playing a different style and not everyone is running the exact same 3(like cod now)
But i think the killstreaks + the time to kill+the feel of the game made it great
@PixelsofMark@S0_KJY Mw3 best cod of all time. Not even close really. What made it so good is what the people making cod should be looking at.
I think it was the multiple styles of play and the variety of things to choose from.
3 types of killstreaks
3 types of perk classes with every perk being op
Toxic generosity is a real thing:
Give once: you elicit appreciation;
Give twice: you create anticipation;
Give 3 times: you create expectation;
Give 4 times: it becomes entitlement;
Give 5 times: you establish dependency.
Stop giving: you become an ENEMY
if one more person tells me “capitalism is making people starve” i’m going to lose it
the poorest people in America are literally gigantic. like medically unexplainable balloon-shaped and built like refrigerators. we’re not dealing with famine—we’re dealing with doorways having to be widened
have you seen what capitalism gives broke people in this country???
you can wake up at 2pm, take your government-subsidized Ozempic with a 3,000 calorie $9 “coffee” milkshake from Starbucks, get driven to Target in an air-conditioned car you don’t own, buy 40 pounds of seed oils and corn syrup with an EBT card, tap pay on your iPhone, and then go home and watch Netflix while you suck your vape in a recliner until the next time you’re ready to shovel food into that nasty mouth hole
your shampoo has biotin. your snacks come in resealable zip pouches. your cats eat grain-free. your dog wears a thunder shirt. you’ve got twelve $7 body washes for different moods. your teeth are rotting from Mountain Dew. your fridge dispenses crushed ice. you have a bluetooth air fryer that makes chicken nuggets shaped like Paw Patrol characters. you’re on six medications and still have the nerve to say the system is failing you
you don’t cook. you don’t walk. you don’t build. you don’t fix. and yet your lifestyle—degrading as it is—is still propped up by diesel engines, shipping containers, water treatment plants, and a thousand invisible laborers you’ll never meet
capitalism isn’t making you starve. it’s keeping you alive in spite of yourself
it gave you DoorDash. it gave you weed delivery. it gave you plus-size lingerie and mental health apps that send you push notifications like “you’re doing great sweetie” even though you’re a fucking emotionally unregulated lunatic. it gave you multiple streaming services to distract you from your own shitty choices. and you’re mad because it didn’t also give you meaning???
capitalism didn’t fail you. it cushioned your fall. it wrapped it in cheese, deep fried it, and let you finance it at 17% APR
but the most ungrateful part is: the system is still carrying your ass
on a reinforced mobility scooter
through the Walmart
to buy more of that trash you call food
take away profit and by day four of your revolution you’ll be shitting in a bucket and trading hot cheetos for insulin in a parking lot
SHUT THE FUCK UP
The older I get, the more I realize that it’s perfectly ok to live a life that looks confusing to others. Wake up early. Eat real foods. Go on long walks. Obsess over something. Pray. Be grateful. Read old books. Never gossip. Be loved by a few. Recipe for a good life.
Men don’t like dating events for the same reason they don’t like dating apps. A man’s life is beset on all sides by the imposition of structure. Being a man is about navigating a world of barriers, structures, logistics, and obligations.
Every single aspect of male existence is an Apollonian onslaught of being crammed into systems while carrying the burdens of necessity around you like a weighty cloud, following you everywhere you go with little to no reprieve.
There are few simple pleasures on this earth that ensconce you from the harassment of existence as a man, and of those few, one of the most coveted and powerful experiences is holding a beautiful woman who loves you, being with her, being inside of her, and knowing the deep comfort of assurance that one of the most mandatory benchmarks of succeeding at life has been checked off your cosmic To-Do list.
To have a woman be the one is to hold the future in the palm of your hand with assurance. Even simply to have a woman you just enjoy, regardless of any thought of the future is its own bountiful consolation prize to erase the days worries before a different series of problems set in.
Capturing this prize is just as the action would imply, a hunt of spontaneity. Half of the fun of women is the push and pull, tugging away at the right strings to unlock what she keeps tucked away. To some, a flimsy locket holding back a butchers line ticket with your number on it. To others, a bank vault protecting the certainty of genetic immortality.
Just as fun as opening the lock is, there is a deep sense of pleasure in cosmic serendipity. Western civilization traded the arranged marriage for the forbidden fruit of self guided discovery. While this has led to many downfalls, it still provides the excitement of chance with love, and in success, a feeling of divinely ordained destiny when finding the right one.
When you become older and the slow decay heralding Death forces you to make serious compromises, these elements of structure set in to help expedite the process of finding at least someone, anyone to settle in with.
Watching what should be a visceral experience of skill, charm, timing, and luck be contorted into a flaccid gray numerical chore to plod through is a spiritual suicide to the male with any hint of vitality left in them. Anything painted with the papier-mâché party streamers of structured intention sucks all the fun out of the experience.
I believe women feel this way too on some level, they have to. They can’t truly enjoy dating events. They simply have more pressure, less time, and an easier psychological mechanism for stomaching society’s accidental humiliation rituals.
Even colossal whores have some contempt for the dating apps which they stand to gain (not truly benefit) the most from. Nobody likes watching love and sex be shoved into a commodified box. The communal mating ritual was once distilled into social events with pretense, events which slowly decay each passing year as we are replaced with brain raped techno-agoraphobes.
It’s not about feminism, it’s not about porn addiction, it’s not about technology overload, all of these are pieces of a bigger whole which is the catalyst for male distance from women. The overbearing presence of femininity is a mask placed upon the collective exhaustion of mankind. The archetypical modern male has decided that the same solitude which tortures his gender counterpart is a catharsis.
To be alone and away is a sweeter relief than to be shoved through the sluicework of structured and commodified match making. Time will tell if the average man is simply bluffing for the satisfaction of watching women flounder in the hell they built, or if a sizable amount of the population will actually disappear into the void out of spite.
@Awful_Heavy@lauren_wilford I always disliked headphones/airpods because of this.
They give off the don’t talk to me type of vibe and when everyone has them on it creates a weird atmosphere.
On the other hand though I get people just want to get their workout in or whatever. Just feels so non sociable.
