Day One of the Advocacy for Digital Health Justice in Africa Short Course opened with insightful discussions on what digital health justice truly means. Participants explored how access to digital health extends beyond technology, focusing on equity, inclusion, and ensuring no one is left behind.
Throughout the day, they examined the principles and current state of digital health justice in Africa, reflected on community gaps and opportunities, and discussed how artificial intelligence is transforming healthcare while raising important issues around fairness, data privacy, and accessibility.
Sessions were guided by Dr. Stephen Roberts, Dr. AIlan Komakech, and Patience Atukunda, who shared rich insights and practical examples from across the continent.
