Thank you Makerere University College @MakCoCIS and @SsentongoMan for having us today! Our co-founder/designer @SimonRAmor and one of our backend engineers @domblack did a Q&A and spoke about building Sling Money.
Can't wait to meet more of you next week! 🇺🇬
This is one of my last additions to Encore before I move onto my new adventure; I’ve really enjoyed my time at @encoredotdev and can’t wait to see what the team do next!
We're announcing something the world's never seen before (probably): Test Tracing!
Encore now automatically captures a local trace of every test in your Go application, making it incredibly simple to understand why tests are failing.
If you want to watch my #conferencetalk on forking the #golang runtime from @gopherconuk it's now available on YouTube.
The slides and source code can be downloaded from my Github here: https://t.co/ZlKVYZnGLs

I've written a blog post about how we reason about building a PaaS product without lock-in at Encore and what approach we've taken to remove it: https://t.co/Tws0PcGhUD
Have you got a different approach to us? Awesome, let's chat about it!
@BradErzwh 😂 I'm working on a version for GopherCon UK this year and wanted to talk more about others who have also forked Go to get more real world examples of what you can do
Out of interest, does anybody knows of companies who run forks of #GoLang and if so what changes have been made? (i.e. what's the reason they've done it?)
@DomBlack, Founding Engineer at @encoredotdev will be sharing his knowledge at our upcoming #GopherConUK event.
He's looking forward to sharing 'The Adventurer's Guide to Forking the Go Runtime' and answering any of our attendees questions.

I'm going to keep retweeting encore tech blogs until it becomes the default way to start a hyper growth ready startup. They solve problems from day 0 that you don't even know will matter until years later. 1/2
@freetrade I’m trying to transfer my ISA into you; have been since December. My old broker is shutting down, and you’ve been unresponsive to email or in app chat for weeks now. What’s going on?
Also I'd like to thank @_myitcv for all his time of the last couple of months as we worked to give the end developers using Encore and CUE the best experience possible.
Super excited to announce we just released @encoredotdev v1.9.0 with native @cue_lang support for configuration. Check it out https://t.co/cqFeVF1lhm 🎉
Today we’re proud to announce Encore v1.0! We believe that over time, Encore will transform developers’ lives to become more joyful and creative. And we’re finally able to share that we’ve raised $3M in seed funding to get there! https://t.co/k3gfqa1J9J
Encore enables you to deploy your applications to any supported clouds (yes plural), without making code changes. We're super excited to announce we've now added @Azure to the list!
When using the cloud, having control is key to avoid runaway costs. We're happy to announce Encore now lets you approve any infrastructure that Encore provisions for you, right there in the deployment flow. Check it out: https://t.co/0CkzQfLv7Q
@nicolasparada_@encoredotdev We didn't, but given like XID it's also base32 encoded, it wouldn't suffer from that issue. Once we saw XID solved our issues, we stopped looking at other libraries, as it turned out we already had it as a dependency in our projects (our logging library zerolog uses it!)
