Wild Statistic about the Transfer Portal at the D2 level I learned at the Final Four:
30% of all D2 players jump in the portal each year.
60% will remain in the portal after jumping in.
Last year over 1700+ players got in only 618 successfully transferred out.
“When you allow your children to grow up it’s a direct, direct reflection of your parenting. If you hover over them all the time and they can’t work through problems, they’re going to have some issues. You’ve got to let them work through problems because they’re working through the things you’ve instilled in them,” Dawn Staley
Let them learn.
It took Ben McCollum years to get a big time job because he was at a small school and people would not give him a chance. Sometimes, taking that chance is worth it. McCollum is a heck of a coach. Levels don’t matter. There are good coaches everywhere
A 13-year-old throwing 46 pitches on Saturday and then coming back to throw 97 more on Sunday? No one has a "RUBBER ARM," regardless of what "adults" think! In March, in the Southwest, all under the banner of "travel ball fun"? That's not development. That's reckless. Any coach who green-lights that workload on a kid that age has no business leading young pitchers ever again, at any level. Period. We don't need another committee to debate guidelines or form a task force. We need immediate, real change: strict enforcement of sensible pitch limits, mandatory rest, and coaches who actually prioritize arm health over wins or showcase stats. I've seen too many promising athletes sidelined for life because adults put "exposure" ahead of their future. Enough. Protect these boys. Their arms aren't indestructible. @Pitchsafe_co@ArmoredHeat@bsblbluebook@TylerBeede@mtabor22
Incredible take from Charles Barkley on Tom Izzo:
"The media, who don't know anything about sports, say 'Why is he yelling his players?' That's called coaching... if parents & friends get mad because you're getting yelled at, get better parents & better friends."
What a job @WLU_Hoops Coach Mike Lamberti has done.... As the new Coach at West Liberty, and w/ 1 returnee with any experience - and w/ huge expectations - he led the Hilltoppers to the regular season AND @TheMountainEast Tourney championships, and a 27-4 record. @NCAADII
This is one reason why sports fans have stopped watching the NBA.
Watch this clown try to explain how this is not a travel.
The @NBA is a clown show..Look how bad this is and this knucklehead trying to justify it.
Gather step..speed step..step back..why even make them dribble anymore. This looks like something you’d see in a 7 year olds YMCA game.
Let me say this as a Jew:
America would be a MUCH better country if more Christians went to Church.
Charlie Kirk's vigil acting as a rally for Jesus is a net positive for society.
This crowd is God-fearing, neighbor-loving, and patriotic Americans.
