Make time to learn, start small, don't be afraid of monotony and repetition, and with long-term accumulation and persistence, it's hard not to succeed.
TOMORROW: on August 12: six planets at dawn, an eclipse at dusk and Perseids meteor shower peaks with dark new moon.
Four events in one day. The six-planet parade comes first, before sunrise, with Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, Uranus, Saturn and Neptune spread wide across the sky.
Then the total solar eclipse. Totality runs over Greenland, Iceland and northern Spain. The UK gets a deep partial instead, up to 96% covered, per BBC Sky at Night. Certified glasses the entire time.
Then the Perseids peak, with a new Moon meaning no moonlight to wash them out.
This August, our astronauts will be stepping outside the @Space_Station three times! NASA experts will discuss our upcoming spacewalks at 2pm ET (1800 UTC) on July 30. Learn how to tune in: https://t.co/7CyQqEN9bF

57 years ago today, the clearest case of American Exceptionalism became extraterrestrially undeniable.
The Stars and Stripes were planted on the lunar surface to commemorate the greatest achievement in human history. 🇺🇸🚀
Today marks 60 years since the launch of Gemini X!
Over 3 days, astronauts John Young and Michael Collins successfully rendezvoused and docked with a vehicle in orbit, performed 2 spacewalks (a first!), and completed other procedures needed to land humans on the Moon.
Three years later Collins would be on the way to the Moon for the Apollo 11 mission. 🚀
