@CathyYoung63 There was always a Steve King or two drifting around the outskirts that everyone was kind of embarrassed about. The LP had their share as well.
@annikadevils@GopherHole But if you’d put $20 in the S&P 500 the last time the Knicks won the championship, it would be worth about $5,000 today, so as long as fans have been saving up, this is quite reasonable.
My mind is still blown by this
Imagine doing what Bessent suggests. "Most people can't afford groceries but the 8 percent of the population working manufacturing jobs are wealthy, so that means everything is going well."
That's not prosperity. He knows it. You know it.
@EsotericCD@Noahpinion Just thank goodness private schools exist. Five of my six nieces and nephews went to private school and they all excelled in STEM disciplines in college (#6 graduated salutatorian in high school yesterday but from public school, so it’s not required).
@annikadevils I maintain that if he’d drafted well the other stuff wouldn’t matter/wouldn’t have happened. It was easy to stay on the bandwagon when he was locking up players we liked on long-term, low-cost deals and trading third liners for Timo. The iceberg was the draft busts.
@TheBrattPack63 Doesn’t that just mostly reflect that the ‘Canes have home ice? My pick was Vegas in 6 until I found out I have to be out of town on June 14. Now it’s either team in four so I can see the Cup presentation live.
